Posted July 16, 200718 yr comment_5419387 House Show Volume 007 “Hacksaw” Butch Reed vs. Terry Taylor 10/1/84 Reed is really great here, and Taylor is a guy I don't like who continues to be in great matches. Big bumping fun stuff by Reed, makes a DVD. Adrian Street vs. Bobby Fulton 10/1/84 This was clipped on some of Kris's stuff, so it is already on my list of Watts stuff. This is complete and has better VQ. Street working the cheek was just a blast House Show Volume 010 Produced: 8-27 to 12-3-1984 Master Gee vs. Ernie Ladd It is fun watching Ernie Ladd take kind of awkward bumps, but this wasn't much of a match Master Gee vs. “Hacksaw” Butch Reed Tomk thought this was a possible DVD selection, the rest of the group wasn't so sure. Reed is really great here, and Gee has some fun looking stuff, but this had a long chinlock and kind of a crappy ending “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan vs. “DR. Death” Steve Williams (Poor VQ) Football match which was worked Sumo rules with no ropes, went to too many falls, although they did have some nice football spots Hercules Hernandez vs. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan (Poor VQ) This felt like it went too long, and Hernandez kind of sucked in it. Still maybe if we could get a better VQ copy it might be helped.

Street working the cheek was just a blast The TV version may have better camera angle on the cheek work which is still nasty. I'm trying to remember what Gee brought to table outside of jiveing up out of chinlock. But I dug this a ton.
July 16, 200718 yr comment_5419417 No chance so far on getting a good copy. The Barnett set is better but still looks subpar. Watts actually sold me the shit copy.
November 22, 200717 yr comment_5424344 Terry Taylor vs. “Hacksaw†Butch Reed (8/9/84) Reed was supposed to face Iceman Parsons but Taylor took his spot instead and jumped Reed as soon as he hit the ring then took the battle to the floor. Taylor throws some great punches here and Reed is a great bumper but Reed would soon get the advantage back and he proceeded to stomp the shit out of Taylor. Reed then threw Taylor to the floor and then the ringside table before bringing it back to the ring where he continued his stomping. Reed would hit a nice piledriver for a nearfall and started laying the soupbones in this time really banging Taylor around. Taylor then made a fiery comeback and hit his five-arm which Reed did a flipjob on the sell. Taylor followed up with about 4 diving fistdrops and a couple of diving kneedrops before hitting Carl Fergie by accident. Reed tried for a press slam but Taylor countered in an O’Connor Roll when Dr. Death entered the ring with his football helmet for the DQ. Reed would then press slam Taylor and Doc used his spear causing Taylor to blade. Duggan would run in to make the save. This was a really solid match until the finish but still enough to make the block. “Exotic†Adrian Street vs. Bobby Fulton (10/1/84) I had this as a maybe on my clipped stuff so let’s see it in full. Gotta love the fans throwing out their homophobic slurs at Street. Street has just entered Mid-South so his schtick is fresh with the fans and they are giving him a lot of shit. Fulton saying to Carl Fergie that he doesn’t want to be in the ring with a queer is great. Street does all of his great British matwork and Fulton adapts pretty well doing his little strut everytime he gets the edge is funny too. Street working on the cheeks of Fulton is such a great offensive strategy that more people should rip off. Street was also brutal with his stomps to set up his throwing Fulton over the top rope while Fergie was occupied with Miss Linda. Fulton showed great fire in his comeback using some crisp punches and even jaked the Lawler rabid fists on the mat move. Street’s European uppercut/diving body press combo was a great finisher. Phil WTF I thought you were down for this match and you didn’t nominate it well I’m putting it up now. Ghetto Street Fight: “Big Cat†Ernie Ladd & “Hacksaw†Butch Reed vs. Magnum TA & Master G (11/4/84) Ladd & Reed take a load of punishment early and bump all over the place. What I don’t get early on here is Carl Fergie forcing Master to move off of Reed in the corner this is a fucking street fight. Master gets pissed off and starts dropkicking everyone out to the floor. Ladd’s selling of Master’s headbutts is great. Magnum was the FIP here and he gets brutalized popping a gusher after being slammed on the railing head first. There is a great shot of Reed jamming his taped thumb in Magnum’s cut. The heels would take turns whipping and choking Magnum with Reed’s belt then Reed wrapped it around his hand to pound Magnum with it some more. Magnum would try a comeback but Reed grabbed him by the hair and gave him a facebuster before whipping him some more. Ladd would come in and would use his taped thumb as his primary offensive move either as a strike or in a nerve hold. Magnum would again fight back but Ladd got the tag to Reed who would press slam Magnum but missed a diving body press off the middle rope as Magnum got his knees up. Magnum would finally get the tag to Master who came in blazing throwing some great punches. Master would chase Reed to the floor where he bashed his head on the railing a couple of times then headbutted him as the blood comes down Reed’s face. Magnum & Ladd would come in making this a 4-way brawl with Ladd taking off Magnum’s boot and using it on him then on Master. Reed would drop a diving elbow on Master for the 3 count. This was a tremendous brawl with Magnum getting the fuck beat out of him and Reed looking awesome while Ladd did his stuff well and Master looked good as well. This is a definite nomination. Master G vs. “Big Cat†Ernie Ladd (10/7/84) This is an interesting match to say the least with Reed showing up to ring the bell stopping the match then talking shit to Master for injuring him. Ladd & Reed then walk out. “Hacksaw†Butch Reed vs. Master G (10/21/84) Reed is awesome in this match doing everything that he does best and looking on top of his game. Master is fine here but this wasn’t one of his best efforts. That chinlock spot seemed to go on forever. The finishing sequence was going fine until the actual finish, which could’ve been better. This was fine but not a nomination. Football Match: Hacksaw Duggan vs. “Dr. Death†Steve Williams (12/3/84) There was no ropes around the ring and this was basically a sumo match with both men in complete football gear. This had some neat spots but it was slow and plodding. There was some great heat though. Hair vs. Cornette’s Hair – SR: “Dr. Death†Steve Williams: Hercules Hernandez vs. Hacksaw Duggan (8/27/84) This is the infamous match where Doc turns heel and costs Duggan the match but with help of the babyface locker room, Duggan shaves Cornette’s head. This is also JIP.
December 17, 200717 yr comment_5425448 Hey Phil, is there a reason you stopped at Fulton-Street on this disc?
December 17, 200717 yr Author comment_5425449 I had seen the ghetto street fight in full on a disc Kris sent me.
