Posted July 18, 200718 yr comment_5419492 Terry Taylor vs. Chris Adams (5/26/85) Another interesting matchup here between two guys who would be in a blood feud 2 years later. Some really good back and forth wrestling here as these two guys matched up very well and Adams was just so damn good in the ring it’s not even funny. This was really a pseudo MUGA match but more Americanized of course. Taylor’s comeback was really good as his punches looked really crisp and had a nice dropkick. Bad ref bump though as Pee Wee Anderson was out of place when Adams delivered his superkick to Taylor that would knock him into him. Finish was also horrible as Taylor was supposed to float over as Adams come off the top rope with a diving body press but he didn’t do it so Adams rolled over himself and Taylor just fell on him for the win. This match was really flowing good until the last minute which really hurt it. The Snowman vs. The Brute (5/26/85) This lasted all of 30 seconds thankfully. Dutch Mantell vs. Brad Armstrong (5/26/85) Brad talking shit before the match about Dutch and his whip to the referee was great. These two really worked good together here and some great back and forth action especially when both men worked on the other’s arms. Some really good punches were thrown here as well by both men, which is always a plus in the match. Dutch was really great when in control here using some very effective offense and playing to the crowd. Brad’s comeback was really good too as he was a natural at being the fiery babyface but met a big big boot to the face before a botched slingshot suplex by Dutch. Dutch then followed with a diving fist drop for the win. Other than the botched slingshot suplex this was a damn solid 10-15 minute match where both men looked really good. Another thing that helps this match is there was some really good crowd heat both ways especially for Brad. This is a definite maybe selection for me and I wouldn’t mind seeing it make the cut for a DVD. There was nothing on House Show 046 of note and I already had all of this on tape as well.
December 12, 200717 yr comment_5425157 Terry Taylor vs. Chris Adams (5/26/85) This was going along swimmingly until the blown finish, finish that blown is a no for me though. Dutch Mantell vs. Brad Armstrong (5/26/85) This also had a blown finish, and while I enjoyed parts of it, I don't think the pre blown finish stuff was as good as the pre blown finish stuff in the previous match. I am going with a no here.
