It was a total blast, both guys trying to out sneak the other, both guys are so good at short cut heel shtick. I would lean to put this on, but I would like to hear what Kris and Loss think. 3rd Mid-South TV Title Tournament Bout "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer VS. Nick Patrick Fun angle with Reed, Slater, Duggan and Sawyer, but not much of a match 6th Mid-South TV Title Tournament Bout Steve "DR. Death" Williams VS. Rob Ricksteiner I see this as a disc possibility too, a pair of green big dudes doing cool amature matwork and chucking each other around recklessly. I remember these guys working great against each other in WCW, and this was a version of that, again I would like to see what Loss and Kris think 7th Mid-South TV Title Tournament Bout "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan VS. "Humongous" Not nearly as good as Duggan v. Big Dudes matches are usually. Humongous really sucks.
December 4, 200717 yr comment_5424792 Mid-South TV Title Tournament: Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (12/4/85) This is the perfect example of a more fun than good match as it was great watching these guys do their antics but it was really more of a glorified squash really. Mid-South TV Title Tournament: “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Nick Patrick (12/4/85) The stuff with Duggan, Reed, & Slater was great stuff. The Bruise Brothers (Mad Dog Boyd & Porkchop Cash) vs. Larry Clark & Broadway Joe Malcolm (12/4/85) Squash. Al Perez vs. Ricky Starr (12/4/85) Squash. Mid-South TV Title Tournament: “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Rob Rechsteiner (12/4/85) All-American vs. All-American here and they throw each other around on the mat like you would expect at the NCAA nationals. Doc would strike first though with the punches and the amateur stuff is over with. This would become a good big man match with both men throwing bombs and using high impact moves. Steiner almost killed Doc on a backdrop though as he didn’t get him high enough and Doc had to adjust his bump in the air then almost got him again on a belly-to-belly. Doc would finish him off with the running tackle and the Stampede for the win. I say we should move this forward. Mid-South TV Title Tournament: Hacksaw Duggan vs. Lord Humongous (12/4/85) Duggan can’t even get a good match out of Humongous although this match is historical as it is the last match ever taped at Irish McNeill’s.
