Posted July 23, 200718 yr comment_5419665 This was a version of their later match ups in WCW, with two jacked amature wrestlers chucking each other around wrecklessly. Really more of a UWF style match then a Mid-South style match as this was the kind of heavyweight wrestling that clearly Watts loved. Both guys were green at this point, and it may be more fun then actively good, still I think I am voting YES.
July 26, 200718 yr comment_5419797 Ok I dug the living fuck out of this. Doc has gotten amazingly great over last 3 years and is really carrying this laying out everything. Steiner is still very green and while his stuff looks good its really obvious that he needs to be directed into what to do and when. This feels to me like it probably shouldn't make a set but I wouldn't go to the wall opposing it's inclusion.

October 27, 200717 yr comment_5423150 Shit, this was a hard one. On one hand, I agree that it was way better than anyone would expect. However, I don't know if it is better than stuff that has already been cut. I may have to rewatch this later.
November 26, 200717 yr comment_5424522 Mid-South TV Title Tournament: “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Rob Rechsteiner (12/4/85) All-American vs. All-American here and they throw each other around on the mat like you would expect at the NCAA nationals. Doc would strike first though with the punches and the amateur stuff is over with. This would become a good big man match with both men throwing bombs and using high impact moves. Steiner almost killed Doc on a backdrop though as he didn’t get him high enough and Doc had to adjust his bump in the air then almost got him again on a belly-to-belly. Doc would finish him off with the running tackle and the Stampede for the win. I say we should move this forward.
