Both men were really solid here as they had wrestled many times before so they were very fluid with everything. DiBiase’s heelwork here was also great as his stalling worked to piss off the fans and his selling was really nice. Just a good technically sound match.
July 29, 200718 yr comment_5419994 I enjoyed this match. It seemed more like a match that would take place in Mid-Atlantic than Mid-South though. Ted's Jaw Jacking and stalling really got the crowd hot at him. Armstrong starts working Dibiase's arm, then Ted escapes and takes a powder. This pisses the crowd off. Eventually, Ted comes back into the ring and does an awesome spot where he reverses an Irish Whip and sends Armstrong into the corner. Ted then charges the corner and Armstrong moves allowing Ted's shoulder to hit the cornerpost. This allows Brad to work the shoulder and arm with an assorment of stuff. After about 6-8 minutes of Ted selling he hits a Hot Shot. Ted takes control by working over Brad's neck with some chinlocks, spinning neck breaker, and an elbow smash from the 2nd rope. Their were some nice little hope spots for Armstrong spread in throughout Ted's heat sequence. Overall, the match was a solid give and take match that told a story that was easy to follow.

October 27, 200717 yr comment_5423190 North American Heavyweight Title: Ted DiBiase © vs. Brad Armstrong (2/10/85) I didn't like this at all, utterly pedestrian in every way. Armstrong did nothing to distiguish himself at all in this match, and I thought it came off as generic 80's heel #45 v. generic 80's face #23. I would much rather see a match like Bob Roop v. Jesse Barr where at least something was memorable, then watch this snoozefest again.
October 28, 200717 yr comment_5423192 Except in this case generic heel happens to be Ted Dibiase who was the best heel in Mid South history and Brad Armstrong worked the match exactly as he should have... someone who lucked out winning the North American title and unsure of what he should do to defeat the top heel so he played it safe and it ended up cost in him in the end. Sometimes, I don't mind a "snoozefest" if the wrestler's actions make sense. Not everymatch needs to be a WALKING TALL fist-punching brawl. In fact, this match stood out to me from the dozens of other matches I watched today because they did slow it down, play thier parts perfectly and give each other enough offense to keep it competitive.
