For the TV titel, and maybe the best Micheal Hayes singles match I have ever seen. Starts out quasi scientific, and breaks out into a brawl with Taylor getting his head rammed into the ringbell and bleeding all over the ring. Hayes seemed to really be working hard during this period. I think this makes it now, we will see how things shake out. Would like to hear what Loss/Kris/Tomk think of this

I enjoyed this, and could see it as a low end nomination. Good match, but a bit abrupt. They put a lot of effort into making it an epic with 10 minutes to work with, and it felt a little flat because it was over so quickly. I think Hayes had better singles matches with Luger in '89, but this was still good for now. I would say no for now, but could change my mind as I go on.

UWF TV Title: Terry Taylor © vs. Michael “PS” Hayes (8/31/86)

This was a really good competitive match with Hayes doing great in a rare singles match for him in UWF. Hayes would bash Taylor’s head on the ringside table and Taylor juices so Hayes starts biting on the cut then follows with the bulldog for a nearfall. Hayes would keep up the offense but Taylor would get a flash schoolboy out of a backdrop suplex attempt for the win. Hayes then decks Tommy Gilbert and takes off his belt that he would whip Taylor with until DiBiase comes out to make the save. Like I said this was a really good little match but not enough for nomination.
