Posted July 25, 200718 yr comment_5419789 Ted DiBiase & Mr. Olympia vs. Jerry Caldwell & Art Crews (5/11/83) Squash match but DiBiase & Olympia were pretty good as a team. Lumberjack Match: Hacksaw Duggan vs. Kendo Nagasaki (5/11/83) The lumberjacks are all jobbers and Duggan is on a warpath as his war with Skandor Akbar & Ted DiBiase started the TV taping before this one. Duggan got preoccupied with Butcher Vachon on the floor and Nagasaki used that to his advantage. Duggan made a comeback though and hit the spear for the win. Super Destroyer vs. Ron Ellis (5/11/83) Squash match but it was great that Watts was burying the jobber for his shitty offense. Butcher Vachon vs. Tony Torres (5/11/83) Another squash. Tim Horner & Johnny Rich vs. Rip Rogers & Tony Zane (5/11/83) Not a bad little match that could’ve main evented any Georgia indy group in 1987 especially when Zane was in his Mr. Atlanta masked gimmick. Horner completely botched a headscissors though on Rogers who was on the apron that was hilarious because Rogers tried to bump for it and thought better. Match went to a TV draw. David & Kerry Von Erich vs. Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts (4/16/83) This is from the Superdome as Watts thought it was a great idea to bring this feud over from Dallas. Good from what was shown but this was clipped up. King Kong Bundy vs. Tim Horner (4/16/83) Also from the Superdome and clipped up. Horner put up a good fight here. Kendo Nagasaki vs. Tim Horner (5/11/83) Pretty nifty match with Horner getting the big upset with an inside cradle. Johnny Rich vs. Tony Torres (5/11/83) Rich gets the win and looks okay. Junkyard Dog & Butch Reed vs. Super Destroyer & Tony Zane (5/11/83) Poor Super D saddled with Zane and Dog coming out to “Atomic Dog†by George Clinton is fantastic. Pretty good little match here for Mid-South TV at this time some good back and forth action and Reed’s flying shoulderblock off the top rope on Super D was great. Ted DiBiase vs. Ron Ellis (5/11/83) Squash. Hacksaw Duggan vs. Butcher Vachon (5/11/83) Akbar is with Vachon so you know Duggan is going to go wild here and he does. Vachon gets some offense but there is a ref bump, which brings Akbar & DiBiase in. DiBiase accidentally hits Vachon with a chair and Duggan cleans house with it. Mr. Olympia vs. Jerry Caldwell (5/11/83) Another squash.
