Posted May 11, 20205 yr comment_5917113 We have a ton of matches already nominated, although I noticed that many of them don't have dates. It would be good to go through those, add dates to them and links to the footage so matches with one nomination get someone else looking at them. Also if we could get levels of nominations, IE, if something is a slam dunk top 25 contender versus something more borderline. In addition we need to figure out what is out there that no one has looked at. IE we have been focusing mostly on 50s Catch, has anyone checked out the stuff from the 80s?
May 11, 20205 yr comment_5917115 I've started to add dates for these, anything where the taping date isn't known I've specified it. John Lister's http://www.itvwrestling.co.uk has links to WOS matches, where available, so it should be straightforward to find them on there for anyone who wants to check something out. Also, if I could find them, I've added videos for the Germany and Austria stuff, to the first post in the thread.
May 14, 20205 yr comment_5917404 The nominations used to have dates, but they were wiped with one of the board updates. I will try to add any missing dates when I have time. How is the nominating process going to work? I assume people don't want to go through hundreds of hours of footage. I will start making some inroads on the 80s catch.
May 14, 20205 yr Author comment_5917406 I think we want to get at least one eyeball on anything that is a plausible nominee, then I would like folks who are nominating stuff to give it a rating. Let's say 1-Stone Cold Lock (This is for top 20 contenders) 2-Great Match (For stuff you think is unique, cool, worthy of a set) 3- Interesting (Cool idea, cool representation of a style or worker, fun finish, nifty spots, the kind of thing which could make it, but could drop off too) For stuff that gets nominated, we can have at least one other person double check the 1s, and have more people debate 2s+3s We should try to put links in the posts whenever possible. This will be way easier then the old method of sending spindels of DVDs through the mail
