Posted July 26, 200718 yr comment_5419820 This is a pretty hot tag match, kind of made by the crazy crowd. DiBiase and Hayes had a big feud and they were going nuts anytime they locked up. Hayes and Roberts have some nice heel cutting off the ring stuff. This really feels like the highpoint of Hayes's in ring career. Was similar to the six man tag on UWF 30, not as good, but it also feels like a DVD selection
August 3, 200718 yr comment_5420153 This is a good example of why the Freebirds were a great team. This had a lot of good stuff in it. Dibiase forcing Roberts to tag Hayes in was cool. Hayes ping ponging for Dibiase and Taylor was good and the crowd ate it up. When Taylor and Roberts worked together they seemed real smooth together. Playing up the backstory of Dibiase neck added drama to the story of working over Dibiase neck. I really thought the finish was neat, until they reversed it. Overall, alot of fun stuff and should make the nomination disks.
August 3, 200718 yr comment_5420165 I think I may have liked this more than the 6 man. Buddy Roberts was an absolute beast here. All his offense looked great. His bumping was great. His Muga stuff was fun too. Totally hot Tulsa Convention center crowd.
September 29, 200718 yr comment_5422367 The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael “PS” Hayes & Buddy Roberts) vs. Ted DiBiase & Terry Taylor (5/25/86) DiBiase dominated early especially on Hayes where you could just feel the hatred there between both men. Taylor tagged in and slowed it down with Buddy who did the fucking Nishimura headscissors spot. Birds tried to get the advantage on Taylor but he fought out and tagged in DiBiase who started on Hayes again but met a boot to the face when coming into the corner. Buddy tagged in and continued the Birds offensive barrage but DiBiase just kept fighting back and then engaged in a slugfest with Hayes. Hayes was bumping madman here taking shots from DiBiase & Taylor. Taylor would trade nearfalls with the Birds before Roberts would take stereo atomic drops from DiBiase & Taylor. Buddy would send DiBiase to the floor with Hayes trying to piledriver him but DiBiase ran him into the ringpost. Birds then took it to DiBiase when he entered the ring as the Tulsa crowd was going nuts. DiBiase would counter a Hayes suplex into one of his own and the double tag was made with Taylor taking care of the Birds. DiBiase would join in for the 4-way brawl and Taylor would get Roberts in the O’Connor Roll but Hayes would hit him with a clothesline. Hayes then picked up Roberts and suplexed him face first on Taylor for the pinfall. This was a really solid match and it goes on the block.
