Both guys have really great punches which is kind of a must in a chain match, and they kill each other with stiff chain shots. Sawyer chewing on Duggans bloody head and then spitting it up and slapping the blood out of the air like Hennings gum was just great. May be the best match I have ever seen from either guy. Watching Sawyer spray blood like this makes you so sad about all the missing Rich matches
July 29, 200718 yr comment_5420003 This was good. I loved Boesch's comment early in the match that this is a battle of wits. It just made me laugh. They use some stiff shots and make the chain an important aspect of the match. I wasn't a fan of the finish with the chair though. Like Phil said earlier the Hennig blood spot was great. With that said, I prefer this matchup better on 11/11/85 and 11/24/85. Also I enjoyed Sawyer's dog collar match with Reed from N.O on 12/31/85 better.
September 6, 200718 yr comment_5421557 They REALLY couldn't have bled enough (and lived) to actually match what I expected in my head before I watched this. I'll rewatch it before my final ballot and I'll be able to handle the letdown and put it into perspective.
October 27, 200717 yr comment_5423179 See, now this is the Buzz Sawyer I love... dog collar blood spitting Sawyer. When Sawyer makes the cut on this set, it will be for what he does best... fighting! I think I like the Reed match better and Duggan has definitely had better matches but this wil be on the final set.

November 21, 200717 yr comment_5424260 Dog Collar Match: “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Hacksaw Duggan (12/27/85) Sawyer loses this match he must leave Mid-South and this is a great match. These two just beat the fuck out of each other using the chain and their fists that of course brings out the blood. Sawyer’s blood spitting spot is always great. This isn’t as good as the Reed match from 4 days later and the finish was sorta blah considering the rest of the match but still a definite nomination.
