Posted July 26, 200718 yr comment_5419829 This was a total blast, and may be the best Mid-South R+R's match I have seen so far, Jake is great of course, and this is long enough we get a bunch of face offesne before Morton gets Mortoned, I especially loved the comedy spot with Jake Andreyed in the ropes. The finish was almost NOAH juniors elaborate too. Jake may end up being the MVP of this set Without a doubt on a tape
August 1, 200718 yr comment_5420080 This match had a lot of good stuff in it. Like Phil said the Jake doing Andre was one of the great comedy spots. It seemed like it was a great Lucha spot. I loved how Jake held the top rope when Barbarian dropped Morton throat first. It made the impact of the move that much greater. Another cool spot was Robert haveing Jake in a headlock and Jake trying to tag Barbarian. Gibson kept kicking Barbarian's hands away. Barbarian gets pissed and charges into the ring and gets backdropped for his trouble while Gibson is still holding onto the headlock. I also enjoyed how the RNRoll were outsmarting the Barbarian. I thought Jake and the RNRoll looked great; and Barbarian was the Barbarian. Any match that ends with the DDT leaves a smile on my face.
August 3, 200718 yr comment_5420169 Yeah this is really great. Nord is completely inoffensive here and I dug his facial selling of frustration with the RnRs and the rapport between Roberts and Nord worked. Finish is super elaborate and neat.
September 6, 200718 yr comment_5421579 Ricky Morton vs Jake the Snake are quite the Greg the Hammer Valentine vs Ronnie Garvin of this set. That was absolute rulage. Nord sucked so I'm afraid what the rest of his oevre is gonna look like as I go forward.
November 29, 200717 yr comment_5424659 The Barbarian & Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (6/28/85) This was a great match that got a lot of time and both teams looked great especially RnR who after watching all their matches on this set, this ranks as one of their best performances. Barbarian was good in his role as the power guy but he shone in his role as the big goon trying to save his boss in the cartoon routine with Jake in the ropes. Jake was tremendous as usual in every way. The finishing sequence was really hot putting the icing on the cake for this being a definite nomination.
