Posted July 31, 200718 yr comment_5420034 Mid South Wrestling Volume 071 Produced:9-6-84 • Steve Williams vs. Chris Adams Longish House show match which never really got cracking, Doc just isn't very good at this point, had a nice diving headbutt miss by Adams, but his superkick landed in the chest. • Robert Christy vs. Adrian Street Adrian Street squashes rule, he mauls this fat dude. • Johnny Mantell & Terry Taylor vs. Ernie Ladd & Krusher Krushev This was weirdly great, easily the best I have seen Kruschev as he nearly decapitates Taylor with a knee lift, Mantell is super fun with his goofy early 80's highspots and Ladd kills him with a dropkick. Cool finish too, I am going to go ahead a nominate this even though I imagine it won't make the cut Produced:9-14-84 Nothing but squash matches on this show, although it does have the great Master G debut angle, and the super gay Fantastics video both of which are extra possibilities.
December 12, 200717 yr comment_5425159 Handicap Match: Hercules Hernandez vs. Paul Brown, Terry Ellis, & Rick McCord (8/31/84) Squash. We have the Mid-South Tag Titles contract signing with the Fants/MX that is a definite extra. They show a Doc/Adams match from OKC. Brickhouse Brown & Sonny King vs. Bob Owens & Hans Schroeder (8/31/84) Squash. Landell & Reed are in the ring wanting Brickhouse Brown and he shows up where he arm-wrestles with Reed but Landell takes him instead then gets beaten. Reed then tries to ambush him until Sonny King shows up and they clean house. Great stuff and should be an extra. "Exotic" Adrian Street vs. Robert Christy (8/31/84) Street is great. Johnny Mantell & Terry Taylor vs. Krusher Khruschev & "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd (8/31/84) Mantell really looks good here and Taylor is solid but the surprise here are the heels as they actually look pretty fair. This is quite the odd pairing as well so the chemistry between these four is interestingly good. This was a pretty fun match but not a nomination. I had seen the next episode already.
