Posted August 1, 200718 yr comment_5420078 All the early stuff on this tape was uneventfull Hayes & Roberts vs. Dibiase & Dr. Death (Lumberjack Match) This was fucking choice though, classic BREAKING LOOSE IN TULSA match, pretty much 4-way brawling, Roberts and DiBiase bleed, the lumberjacks brawl with each other, the whole thing gets completly out of control. Total blast and DVD selection for sure
November 21, 200718 yr comment_5424324 Rick Steiner vs. Gary Young (8/31/86) Competitive squash. “Hollywood” John Tatum & Jack Victory vs. Jeff Gaylord & “Jumpin” Joe Savoldi (8/31/86) Squash. Wild Bill Irwin vs. Jeff Raitz (8/31/86) Squash. They show a video of the WFIA convention in Houston then debut the new UWF Top 10 Lumberjack Match: Ted DiBiase & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael “PS” Hayes & Buddy Roberts) (8/31/86) DiBiase & Doc hightail it to the ring and the brawl is on. Buddy juices early in this one and both Birds take a kingsized ass beating. The heel lumberjacks actually throwing the Birds in the ring and not helping them is quite the refresher for this type of match. Hayes’ selling in this match was supremely great plus the biting of DiBiase then spitting the blood in the air was also great. Doc was awesome after getting the hot tag then of course the lumberjack brawl it out. Hayes gets a leather belt and starts choking DiBiase for the DQ then starts whipping him, which would set up the country whipping matches. Definite nomination.
