Posted August 1, 200718 yr comment_5420079 This was fucking choice though, classic BREAKING LOOSE IN TULSA match, pretty much 4-way brawling, Roberts and DiBiase bleed, the lumberjacks brawl with each other, the whole thing gets completly out of control. After the DQ, the Freebirds come back to the ring and it gets even crazier. Total blast and DVD selection for sure
August 1, 200718 yr comment_5420083 This kicked all sorts of ass. Robert's big ass bump off the double football tackle was phenomenal. Buddy was bleeding one minute in. The crowd was on their feet the whole time. The Lumberjacks added to the match. Jim Ross referenceing the big Atlanta piledriver angle was great. The guys were just going at it the whole time beating the crap out of each other. A great match and a sure thing for inclusion on the nomination disks.
October 1, 200717 yr comment_5422399 Lumberjack Match: Ted DiBiase & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael “PS” Hayes & Buddy Roberts) (8/31/86) DiBiase & Doc hightail it to the ring and the brawl is on. Buddy juices early in this one and both Birds take a kingsized ass beating. The heel lumberjacks actually throwing the Birds in the ring and not helping them is quite the refresher for this type of match. Hayes’ selling in this match was supremely great plus the biting of DiBiase then spitting the blood in the air was also great. Doc was awesome after getting the hot tag then of course the lumberjack brawl it out. Hayes gets a leather belt and starts choking DiBiase for the DQ then starts whipping him, which would set up the country whipping matches. Definite nomination.
