UWF44 10-20-86

The Fantastics vs. John Tatum & Jack Victory

Pretty great match, Fantastics are really at there best and Tatum and Victory are the worlds best Rock and Roll RPM'S, this also has the great Missy turns on Tatum angle at the end with Tatum blading nastily on the Gucchi purse shots.

UWF45 10-27-86

Buddy Landell & Jack Victory vs. Iceman Parsons & Terry Taylor

This was alot of fun with a hot crowd and some great looking punch exchanges by both guys, there are just too many good TV matches in UWF for something like this to make a cut. Still kills most of the stuff on the WWF set.

Eddie Gilbert vs. John Tatum

Lots of heat, and there were parts that looked really great, but other parts which looked awkward, either something was a potato shot or too loose, weird match.

Devastation Incorporated vs. Chris Adams & Jim Duggan (Incomplete)

This was a Time Out match, would have made it probably if it didn't get cut off.

Match was fine, but gets on more for the finish than the actual match.

This was supersprint. I mean when Ross says "action too fast to call", its normally just a line. Here it really was that fast.

UWF TV Title: Buddy Roberts © vs. Ken Massey (10/12/86)

Squash. Taylor getting a shot at Buddy being out of shape is great on commentary. Buddy’s theme music is beyond awesome by the way which is Go For Your Guns by The Isley Brothers.

“Bad Bad” Leroy Brown & One Man Gang vs. Jeff Raitz & Joe Savoldi (10/12/86)

Squash.

Iceman King Parsons vs. Gustavo Mendoza (10/12/86)

Fun squash.

UWF Tag Titles: The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) © vs. John Tatum & Jack Victory (10/12/86)

Rogers’ dropkicks were tremendous here as the Fants dominated this early and Tatum was great at getting beaten up. We go to a break and come back as Fulton gets his shoulder injured on the railing and Rogers/Tatum having a helluva fight on the floor. They work on Fulton’s shoulder and he fights them off the best he can with one arm but for a while it isn’t enough. Fulton would hit a high kneelift and tagged Rogers in to a huge pop in Tulsa. The stereo monkey flip spot was great and Hot Stuff comes to ringside with flowers wooing Missy as her guys get their ass kicked. Tatum goes over to Gilbert & Missy and Rogers locks him in an O’Connor Roll to retain the titles. Missy decides to leave with Gilbert but Tatum stops them and it heads back to the ring with Tatum jackin Gilbert’s jaw. Tatum grabs the flowers and throws them but Hot Stuff International shows up and jumps Tatum. Tatum eats a Hot Shot then Missy nails him with the Gucci Bag and Tatum bladed on contact clear as day. The crowd goes nuts as Missy has left with Hot Stuff International. This was a solid match and the turn alone makes it a definite.

Gary Young vs. Art Crews (10/26/86)

Good win for Young.

Savannah Jack vs. The Libyan (10/26/86)

Jack is now a babyface. Akbar comes out with Landell who challenges Jack and eats a Superkick for his trouble.

Hot Stuff & Hyatt come out and destroy a dozen of roses that Dark Journey received from the WFIA

They show clips of an awesome looking Steel Cage Match between DiBiase/Gordy from Houston on 10/17/86 that we don’t have. Gordy’s promo with the dried up blood in the locker room should make this a definite extra.

Iceman King Parsons & Terry Taylor vs. “Nature Boy” Buddy Landell & Jack Victory (10/26/86)

Very fun match but not enough for a nomination.

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum (10/26/86)

Nice of the UWF to put these two in a singles match considering the real life hatred. This was a pretty hard hitting match for these two and there was the look of uncooperation going on. This ended up being a backdrop for Dark Journey to be painted yellow when she showed up. Tatum just left the area while Parsons & Taylor made the save.

Handicap Match: “Gentleman” Chris Adams & Hacksaw Duggan vs. Devastation Inc. (“Bad Bad” Leroy Brown, Wild Bill Irwin, & One Man Gang) (10/26/86)

Fun while it lasted but TV time was running out then Link finally showed up for a wild brawl with Akbar getting involved for the DQ.
