August 11, 20205 yr comment_5925754 Dave losing his mind over the Dominik/Seth angle was great. He's just about at breaking point these days.

And yeah, this stuff is so bad and has been done so much since the latter nWo days that it almost seems *normal*, but it is stupid to have a guy getting murdered forever without anyone running to make a save. He also put in the stupit Retribution shit happening without anyone, including from the crowd of pro-wrestlers. Pretty funny stuff indeed.
August 11, 20205 yr Author comment_5925761 The Seth/Dom angle could've easily been fixed. Joe could've gone there to make a save only to be subdued, or even Carrillo himself, who was just there. I'm not a fan of no one coming in to save him, although I love most of what they did. Dom has some important babyface characteristics.
August 11, 20205 yr comment_5925765 Joe didn't help because he was afraid he'd get fired, right? Remember all those times Stone Cold didn't interfere with McMahon's evil plots because he might get in trouble? For as much as they have their heads stuck in the Attitude Era, they sure don't realize what made people love Austin and Rock. Those dudes didn't give a fuck about authority. God, how many times in the last couple years have they ran an angle where the babyface is afraid they'll get in trouble if they do something?
August 11, 20205 yr comment_5925770 With all the good stuff they were doing with Drew they could've at least have him run in before Orton gave the punt. He's been great in the role of a take no shit babyface. For some reason Vince and company forgot the concept of perception is everything.
August 11, 20205 yr comment_5925773 To be fair, that boat of virtue sailed for Drew when Heath Slater railed on him a few weeks ago. Slater tells him what a rotten friend he is, not seeing if Slater was OK after getting fired, and Drew just took it without trying to defend himself. Way to go, world champ babyface.
August 11, 20205 yr comment_5925783 Using Ric Flair right now is definitely ill advised and scary, but man, if that was his last angle, he went out showing us all why he's the greatest of all time.
August 12, 20205 yr comment_5925802 I had not thought of this and it blows me away. I know there is a lot more TV now, but still
August 12, 20205 yr comment_5925803 I believe this month (or last) is the 7 year anniversary of the Wyatt character appearing on the main roster. To put it into perspective Wyatt was on tv before the .Authority was officially formed. A stable that somehow lasted all the way to 2016
August 13, 20205 yr comment_5925842 Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Joe technically retired now? Not to excuse the general lack of intervention, but that would explain him not wanting to get physically involved.

August 13, 20205 yr comment_5925846 Hmm, WWE doesn't help their case with these inconsistencies, even though this one is relatively minor. What's worse is when a babyface attacks a heel, the ring is suddenly flooded with security, referees and/or wrestlers.
August 13, 20205 yr comment_5925859 So NXT brought back the Velveteen dream. Not surprising but just not worth the trouble. Looks like he's a heel now which I guess is the right move.
August 13, 20205 yr comment_5925872 So, what exactly is Damian Priest's character supposed to be? I know I am grasping at straws here, cause we can ask that question about half the people in WWE at this point, but he really confuses me. One week he is like a "dark" character. Then he's acting like he's a ladies man. Seems like it's 50/50 whether he is face or heel and what the fuck is an Archer of Infamy anyway? Edit: and this week Mauro called him a Martial Artist.....so that's a new thing he is.....
August 13, 20205 yr comment_5925873 There's no middle ground, it seems. Either they throw every idea they can think of against the wall to see what will stick or you're a bearded guy in trunks whose gimmick is you have good matches.
August 13, 20205 yr comment_5925874 For some time, they were much in love with alliterations, so I am surprised that he is not the Archer of Anarchy or the Archer of Agony or somthing like that.
August 13, 20205 yr comment_5925882 Priest is the “Archer of Infamy”. I mean, isn’t that obvious? He shoots arrows (accurately, I would assume) infamously. Or maybe he shoots arrows at the idea of infamy? Does that sound right? Or he could be an archer who works for infamy? Its very clear. You guys need to stop acting like it’s not a great gimmick.
