Only non squash was a Fantastics v. Sting/Steiner match which was fun but not special enough to really consider for disc inclusion.

The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael “PS” Hayes & Buddy Roberts) vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) (11/9/86)

 

Birds are out for blood with Gordy’s injury so the bring in Angel of Death and they bash the Fants’ heads in on Angel’s head. Fants juice heavily.

 

Jack Victory vs. Bobby Perez (11/9/86)

 

Landell is at ringside for this squash.

 

Hacksaw Duggan vs. The Libyan (11/9/86)

 

Duggan comes in bandaged up and Libyan jumps Duggan at the bell but would get destroyed.

 

Chavo Guerrero & Terry Taylor vs. Rick Steiner & Sting (11/9/86)

 

Link comes to the ring with the yellow streak on his back before the match and Gilbert gathers up his troops then they leave.

 

They show a video of Doc & Watts at a Missouri/Oklahoma game where he would receive his PWI award.

The undercarders get a showcase match.

Fine little match. Watts destroys World Class here on commentary regarding Chris Adams being stripped of his title there.

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. Rick Steiner & Sting (11/2/86)

 

Fants looked good here especially Rogers who by working against Steiner & Sting really helped them grow. Sting nails Rogers with a dropkick and he blades off it juicing really good and Rogers really makes the heels look strong in his FIP but he would fight them back showing great fire. They keep Rogers from making the tag and then the bell rings for some reason that no one knows why. To everyone’s credit though they keep working and Rogers gets the tag to Fulton who cleans house. Gilbert would get involved getting his team DQed and the fans are going nuts for this as the Link/DJ come out and it turns into a wild brawl. This was fun stuff but not a nomination.
