September 27, 20205 yr comment_5929156 I love how Sami's new look is like if Jim Henson made a wrong turn in life and ended up living in the woods somewhere.
September 27, 20205 yr Author comment_5929157 Commentary was great in this match. The harsher spots, while fraudulent, were kept short. I'd rather see Jeff with his EAR cuffed to the ladder than another swanton bomb.
September 27, 20205 yr comment_5929159 Holy fuck yes!! GO SAMMY! That was an awesome end to the match, even if it made babyface Jeff Hardy look like shit as usual. Sammy looked like the biggest star he's ever looked on main roster. I don't think I can watch another empty arena ladder match in my life though.
September 27, 20205 yr comment_5929160 There were some crazy-ass bumps in that ladder match. Finish was a bit contrived but I dug the match. The handcuff through the ear lobe was pretty damn original.
September 27, 20205 yr Author comment_5929161 Just now, C.S. said: Best ladder match in years? Absolutely. Zayn being SMART in this type of match puts it pretty high on the list.
September 27, 20205 yr Author comment_5929162 Look they better have SOMETHING regarding this Zelina/Asuka match. I just can't believe they would have tiny-ass Vega strutting around by herself without even having an enforcer type to help her.

Dude is just an insanely talented tag wrestler who works well with pretty much every single being on this planet. It's sad, they had huge momentum with him when he slammed the Big Show over the top rope, but that's it for him as a singles. The thing is, when someone comes around that's extremely talented, that doesn't necessarily mean they should be at the top of the card - especially in WWE. That's never been what it's about in WWE. There's a reason Hulk was on top during his era & although they were ridiculously talented, they didn't put Mr. Perfect & Rick Rude up there. Could they have? Yes, absolutely. Ted DiBiase too & probably also Jake the Snake. Honestly, looking back, it's kind of remarkable to me that Macho Man Randy Savage got a run at the top in WWF. I mean, there's a difference between being in the main event & being WWE champion, too, but there's a lot of talent that doesn't get put up there, for whatever reason. In all eras, really.
September 27, 20205 yr Author comment_5929165 Hey this was pretty fucking good! Zelina wrestling like Nunzio isn't the worst of ideas, and they finish was decisive and sweet.
September 27, 20205 yr comment_5929166 Yeah, I was surprised by how decent that was. Happy to see that they will be carrying on the program.
September 27, 20205 yr comment_5929167 Asuka vs Zelina delivered way beyond expectations. Very smartly put together.
September 28, 20205 yr comment_5929168 Nakamura's 2 matches with Roode were by far my favorite matches of his since coming in. All the handcuff stuff kinda took me out of that long ladder match.
September 28, 20205 yr comment_5929170 Poor Apollo didn't stand a chance. I bit on the frogsplash nearfall I must admit.
September 28, 20205 yr comment_5929172 Think Garza blew out a knee there, he looked hurt tagging out. I guess the ref called an audible there.
September 28, 20205 yr comment_5929174 Absolutely sucks if Angels injured. Good news is there's no more Prophets vs Garza/Andrade which was never gonna end!
September 28, 20205 yr Author comment_5929176 shit imagine the reaction would've got in front of a live crowd
September 28, 20205 yr comment_5929178 Really not feeling Drew vs Randy anymore. Maybe they'll deliver a entertaining match, but both have cooled off a lot in the last few weeks and it's all a bit boring.

All the guys you mentioned would have been multi-time world champions in modern WWE. Is Cesaro really less suited for a main event run than Jinder Mahal?
September 28, 20205 yr comment_5929180 I'm having a bleh day and just want to do nothing, so figured I would throw this show on in the background and see if anything jumps out at me. I don't totally know what the card is now that I heard the women's stuff has been changed or removed, but Reigns/Jey could be good. I'll still write some stuff. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/09/wwe-clash-of-champions-disinterested.html
