Posted August 8, 200718 yr comment_5420330 Art Crews & Mike George vs. Chavo Guerrero & Iceman King Parsons Fun semi squash, Crews takes a really nice backdrop for such a big dude Terry Taylor vs. Gary Young I really loved all of the scientific matwork at the begginning, a better finish this would have made a DVD. I didn't so it doesn't Dr. Death vs. Terry Gordy (Incomplete) Commerical break and no finish, but what was shown was awesome, it is too bad we don't have raw footage of this show UWF61 2-16-87 Chris Adams vs. Mike Boyette Boyette eats stuff really well Dr.Death vs. Mike George Fun semi squash, at what point did George have the NA title? One Man Gang vs. Ted Dibiase Dissapointing, I was expecting this to be better, as these guys normally work well together. Never really got cooking and had a a shitt Steve Coxy finish Chavo Guerrero vs. Rick Steiner Fun but too short and never hit the next level
December 5, 200717 yr comment_5424817 Chavo Guerrero & Iceman King Parsons vs. Art Crews & Mike George (2/1/87) Competitive match. Terry Taylor vs. Gary Young (2/1/87) Really good fast paced scientific match. One Man Gang vs. Johnny West (2/1/87) Big time squash. After the match, DiBiase, Taylor, & Doc come down to ringside and BUSINESS IS PICKING UP as they run Devastation Inc. out of the ring. The Super Ninja vs. Jeff Raitz (2/1/87) Ninja’s debut and it’s Ryuma Go. Sting vs. Bobby Walker (2/1/87) Squash and Walker looks like Jason Sterling. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy (2/1/87) Yet another match in their great series. It doesn’t take long for this to become a brawl with both man trading big shots but it would slow back down into normal mode. Both men threw some great suplexes here to go along with their big blows especially Doc who basically deadlifted Gordy in a German Suplex. Doc has Gordy in a headlock as we go to commercial and we come back with Doc juicing but he backdrops out of a Gordy piledriver attempt. Doc then hits one of his own for a nearfall then the battle goes to the floor as both men just beat the hell out of each other but Gordy rolls in the ring to break the count. The battle continues in the ring and Gordy pounds Doc’s head into the turnbuckle a few times then rips at the cut following that up with punches. Doc turns the tide though and starts throwin punches as the Myriad is exploding then hits a big spear as the Birds come to ringside followed by DiBiase & Taylor. Both men then take each other down with a double clothesline then Gordy gets up and misses a diving elbow drop before Doc hits another spear taking Gordy out of his boots for another nearfall. Both men get up and we have another wild punching match and TV time runs out as the guys on the floor get up on the apron to get ready to enter the ring. “Gentleman” Chris Adams vs. Mike Boyette (2/15/87) Damn is Boyette ugly and Adams makes his return to the UWF after being locked up in prison. Jim Ross making a sly remark about Adams’ training methods while he has been away saying that “Adams had a lot of time to work out” was hilarious. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Mike George (2/15/87) Before the match Doc introduced Steve Cox who was from Tulsa and announced that he would be his protégé. Doc looked awesome here. UWF Heavyweight Title: One Man Gang © vs. Ted DiBiase (2/15/87) Bill Watts is on commentary for the first time in over 8 months. Gang jumps DiBiase at the bell but he fights back with Gang selling hard but Gang would knock him to the floor though at Steve Cox’s feet. Akbar hits DiBiase and Cox yells at him but doesn’t move and as DiBiase tries to get back in the ring, he gets dropped neck first on the top rope sending him back to the floor. Teddy comes back though sending Gang into the railing but as the match goes back into the ring the Gang takes back over with his power. Teddy would reverse an irish whip and sent the Gang right into the referee but Gang would recover and put DiBiase in a bodyslam. Gang would then climb up to the second rope and missed his 747 splash then Teddy pulled out the glove and caught Gang in the ribs. DiBiase then went to the ropes where Akbar tripped him and would soon come in the ring for a 2-on-1 attack but Steve Cox had seen enough and he went after Akbar but DiBiase would dropkick Gang into Cox and covered him with Cox counting 3. DiBiase & Cox walk out with the UWF Heavyweight Title belt. Akbar comes back from the break and demands that DiBiase bring the belt back. This was great stuff although the finish keeps it from being nommed. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael “PS” Hayes & Buddy Roberts) vs. Jeff Raitz & Gary Young (2/15/87) Birds looked really strong here. Akbar returns and wants his belt back then downgrades Steve Cox at ringside which ends up with Cox coming into to fight with Devastation Inc. and he WALKS TALL. This brings out DiBiase & Doc to help run them off. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert vs. Ken Massey (2/15/87) Gilbert looks great. Chavo Guerrero vs. Rick Steiner (2/15/87) This was pretty good and Chavo got a win with the reverse 180 splash off the middle rope right when TV time ran out.
