This is one of the better Ricky Morton beatdowns in the history of Ricky getting beat down. Anthony and Denton have worked Morton so much, that there stuff is just perfect. There are going to be so many Rock and Roll matches on this set. Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Brad Armstrong (4-16-85) This was a lot of fun, and definitely needs to be on the set. I did think Jake’s heel control was a little long, as this match probably would have been much better 7 minutes or so shorter. Still well worth putting on a set.

There are going to be so many Rock and Roll matches on this set. Anthony and Denton worked Rock n Rolls in Memphis, worked Morton and Lucas in Texas and they just seemed like ideal opponents. The choke down finish is totally nasty and perfect. Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Brad Armstrong (4-16-85) This was a lot of fun, and definitely needs to be on the set. I don't know if the flaw was length so much as Brad never really got any hope spots up to his last run of offense. Instead of having comeback spots that would be cut off they were just brushed off, which made the beatdown feel too long. He would be beat have one comeback spot that Jake would completely brush off, get beat somemore comeback spot that would be brushed off etc. Eventually he gets the little run of the corner spot that Jake cuts off. But for most part his stuff wasn't cut off, just brushed off which made him look ineffective, and made Jake look like a guy taking his time.
November 21, 200717 yr comment_5424259 The Dirty White Boys (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (4/15/85) I wonder why they didn’t get more Little Rock matches on their site. This was a non-title match so you know who is winning here but this was a great match and was totally different than the Fants/DWB’s match the day before which was great in it’s own way so we have a really good contrast in matches. Morton gets his ass kicked good here as has been said earlier with the DWB’s being a really great underrated beatdown team. The bandana finish was an awesome way to cap off the match and this is a definite nomination. Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Brad Armstrong (4/16/85) Brad looked good early in the match using some sharp punches but when Jake would take over brother he took over. Jake had one of the longest heel control sections I’ve seen on this set but it was pretty damn good as he knew what to do. Shoe was right on about Jake’s charisma in the ring here as even though he was a great worker, his timing and psychology was just as good as his ringwork if not better. The looks on Brad’s face during this was great as he looked like he was thinking “I hate this motherfucker so much.” The NO crowd was great here too as they got behind Brad even with Jake’s fans being vocal with their DDT chants. Brad made a good comeback finally but when he tried the figure-four, Jake would kick him into Ronnie West then took off his boot but Brad would backdrop him. Brad would fight Ronnie over the boot and got nuked with the DDT for the finish. This was a really solid match that built up to the crescendo well and a definite nomination.
