This match is a lot of fun. It's not a great match but it sure is fun to watch. This is a pretty historic moment in Mid-South as this is the Last Stampede for Watts. For historical purposes it should make a disk. The match opens with Watts haveing his fist taped. Everytime he hit one of the MX the crowd would go along with the punches. Of course both members of the MX bump around like superballs for the boss, and both get color for him. It was so great the opening few minutes. Eaton was taking ungodly bumps. One of them Watts punched him, he bumped all the way to the top turnbuckle which he landed on. Then Watts hit him again and he took the bump from the top turnbuckle to the floor. Another one of Eaton's bumps was Watts hit him and he did a Pillman guardrail bump. Stagger Lee was in this for all of a minute. Watts totally carried his team in the ring. Watt's also sold pretty good for a man of his size, and age. Plus we got to see cornette in a diaper at the end of the match. This should make a disk for how fun the match was,cornette in a diaper, and for the historical purposes.

The earliest example of WALKING TALL Watts I know of that is available. The first few minutes is literally Lee feeding Watts the MX for about a hundred punches and the crowd is eating it up. Watts playing Ricky Morton is really a strange sight. It isn't the role I expect to see him in but DAMN if he isn't good at it. The finish has all of the MX cheating we are accustomed to and even though you assume Watts and Lee will win, the wrestlers did a good enough job of casting doubt up until the last count. A very solid nomination and I look forward to Kris, Tom and Phil commenting on it. Thumbs up from me.

Start with Cornette's B-Day party. If this moves on, there are about 20 minutes of extras setting up the match that have to go on before the match. This is one of the biggest money makers in Mid South history and the entire angle has to be shown because it makes the payoff so satisfying.

I liked this alot, I disagree with Will, as I think Watts had better matches in Mid-South, this is still a slam dunk nomination, as MX were totally kingsized in this and the crowd was completely insane. Eaton was especially bumptastic

I have seen about ten Watts matches in Mid South and I don't know of any that I like better than this match.

I would put the long Freebirds six man over it, but it is splitting hairs, no doubt this deserves a spot

Shit, I wish there was more 60s and 70s Watts footage or I would so make the Bill Watts comp.

Everyone was phenomenal here and the fans were completely awesome. Watts was someone who if he was 10 years younger would've been one of the hugest stars in the business. This is as easy as it gets for a nomination.
