Chavo Guerrero, Terry Taylor, & Bill Watts vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) (7/11/86)

This started at the end of a Taylor/Roberts match for the UWF TV Title when Gordy & Hayes jumped Taylor so Guerrero & Watts come out to counter as they were supposed to wrestle them in the next match. It ends up being a wild brawl with Watts WALKING TALL for a few minutes before it actually turns into a match after Watts tells Hayes to get his prissy sissy ass in the ring. The Houston crowd is going apeshit during this whole thing and they are on a Tulsa level of heat and the Birds were so awesome at this point in their selling, facials, and the whole shebang. Watts/Gordy exchanges were awesome and Gordy trying to tag out with Hayes & Roberts walking away was great. Taylor gets the heat section and that was great psychology because he has already worked one match and they beat his ass some more. It soon ends up being a six-way brawl again and Gordy came off the top rope missing a kneedrop for the DQ. Watts breaks out his brass knux and starts beating all the Birds’ ass knocking them out of the ring. Gordy has a deep cut from the knux as he heads to the back. I loved this but it wasn’t much of a match just a big brawl but a great one at that.

Cowboy Lang vs. Lord Littlebrook (7/11/86)

Midgetmania with Paul Boesch telling a great Littlebrook story.

Sting vs. Ken Massey (7/6/86)

And the Sting push begins and he looks really good here.

Chavo Guerrero vs. The Libyan (7/6/86)

Chavo looked good.

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Brett Sawyer & Gary Young (7/6/86)

This is a fun little match as Sawyer & Young both get some offense in and the Sheeps sell for them well.

Koko Ware vs. Rick Steiner (7/6/86)

Tulsa fans loved them some Birdman. Steiner’s look here was like I have said in the past a Manabu Nakanishi type but even more jacked, he would get a megapush by the WWE now.. Koko’s powerslam was fuckin awesome here and Steiner bumped great for a rookie like Phil & Tom said earlier when they watched this match on another disc. Steiner’s powerslam was awesome too and when he tried another one Koko didn’t go down but reversed it in the fuckin air. Tremendous little match.

Freebirds video for Boys Are Back In Town is up next and it’s a definite for the extras list.

Terry Taylor & Bill Watts vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy & Michael Hayes) (7/6/86)

The Birds whine to Jim Ross before the match about Watts standing in the ring with his baseball bat and Hayes has to try to keep Gordy restrained as Watts talks shit. Watts tries to bait them to the ring but they won’t come so he goes up there to meet them and chases them to the ring with the faces coming out of the locker room to hold them back.

Gary Young vs. The Libyan (7/11/86)

JIP and Young wins.

The Missing Link & Koko Ware vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum & Jack Victory (7/11/86)

Early in the match Tatum & Victory want no part of the Link and demanded that Koko start the match which is what happens. Koko throws some wicked armdrags here on the heels. Link gets in there and headbutts both men to the floor where Tatum sells it like he is drunk off his ass then they stall like hell before it gets cut off. The match picks up again after the Young match with Tatum dancing around and just laying the shots in on Koko. They get heat on Koko before he makes the hot tag to Link who just uses his head as a battering ram on them. Missy gets involved and trips him off the second rope for the DQ finish, which of course leads to a catfight with Dark Journey. Pretty good stuff.

Koko Ware vs. The Libyan (7/20/86)

Man, Koko is awesome and the best part about this match is Michael Hayes talking about how he is going to beat up Janet Jackson’s brothers if they try to stop him from fucking her. Libyan gives Koko a run for his money but gets finished off with a dropkick from the second rope.

One Man Gang vs. Gary Young (7/20/86)

Young is getting a small push at this time so he gets some offense mainly from capitalizing on mistakes but gets smushed at the end.

Dark Journey buries Michael Hayes for his lies about her wanting him and calling him constantly so he comes in the ring and tongue kisses her. DJ then slaps Hayes and leaves the ring with him going nuts.

Eddie Gilbert does an interview where he reforms up Hot Stuff International with Rick Steiner & Sting and announces that he has merged with Missy Hyatt beginning that huge angle. Ross then ends up at the Hyatt household where she confirms the merger.

Brett Sawyer vs. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (7/20/86)

This was supposed to be Jack Victory against Sawyer but Hot Stuff & Sting enter the ring and pay him off so Gilbert can work against Sawyer. Gilbert nearly kills Sawyer with the Hot Shot sending him right to the floor. Gilbert has Sawyer finished but keeps pulling him up after every pin attempt so Sawyer locks in an inside cradle for the upset. Fun stuff.

The Fantastics vs. Joe Malcolm & Gustavo Mendoza (7/20/86)

Fants look great here.

Elimination Match: Hacksaw Duggan, Terry Taylor, & Bill Watts vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) (7/20/86)

IT’S BREAKIN LOOSE AT THE TULSA FAIRGROUNDS!!!! and everyone is just so great here especially Duggan & Watts. The problem is that they started this with like 4 minutes left in the show and no way this ends before TV ends. Holy shit did this rule though for the 4 minutes it was on.

Ted DiBiase & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. The Bladerunners (Rock & Sting) (5/9/86)

This match is JIP a little bit. Blades are greener than grass but DiBiase & Doc look tremendous and carry them to a pretty good match. DiBiase was such a fantastic babyface in this time and Doc was coming into his own as one also.

The Missing Link vs. Jack Victory (6/13/86)

It’s a wild scene before the bell as Tatum & Missy are involved and Dark Journey also. The heels run away to the back before the match could even start and Link wins by countout.

UWF TV Title: Terry Taylor © vs. Buddy Roberts (7/11/86)

This is JIP and it’s the match that led into the first match on this disc.

Jeff Gaylord vs. Joe Malcolm (7/20/86)

Jeff Gaylord with short hair makes me laugh. Ross calls Gaylord a young version of Hacksaw Duggan which is even more funny.

“Hollywood” John Tatum vs. Brett Sawyer (7/20/86)

Sawyer looked great and Tatum was what he was. Sawyer gets mesmerized by Missy’s tits and causes himself to lose.

UWF Tag Titles: The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) © vs. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Sting (7/20/86)

Missy & Tatum are here with Hot Stuff International and Tatum looks like he really doesn’t want to be there. Eddie started off against both Fants and it was great stuff as they gelled very well. After a ref bump with Tommy Gilbert as the referee no less, Rogers has Gilbert pinned as Carl Fergie comes out and of course he gets bumped too. Missy nailed Rogers with her purse and Gilbert pins him to win the titles and everyone celebrates. Fun while it lasted.

The Joel Watts version of the Boys Are Back In Town airs with footage of the Birds getting their ass kicked dispersed throughout.

Rick Steiner vs. Ken Massey (7/20/86)

The Steiner push begins with his new look and being a new member of Hot Stuff International. Steiner looks tremendous here.

Kamala vs. Koko Ware (7/20/86)

Duggan came with Koko to the ring and him doing the Bird was phenomenal. Koko uses his speed early in the match to keep Kamala on his toes moving around. Koko then started taking Kamala down with armdrags that was awesome as the Tulsa fans were going nuts. Duggan takes care of Akbar at ringside as Kamala takes control of the match though. Akbar leaves the ring and returns with the One Man Gang who starts brawling with Duggan as TV time runs out.

Gary Young vs. Gustavo Mendoza (8/8/86)

Pretty good little match.

“Jumpin” Joe Savoldi vs. The Libyan (8/3/86)

Savoldi makes his debut and looks fine winning with the O’Connor Roll.

Another great Joel Watts video of DiBiase & Doc set to Living In America by James Brown.

Terry Taylor vs. Jeff Raitz (8/3/86)

Raitz makes his debut in UWF and there is a handshake before the match. Taylor looks good here. After the match, DiBiase came out and started brawling with Hayes at the announce stage running him off.

Gustavo Mendoza vs. Bobby Perez (8/3/86)

Mendoza gets a spotlight match and looks good.

The DVD then cuts out for the last 30 or so minutes.

These were the only two matches you were missing, I'll send the master in the next batch

Fantastics & Missing Link, vs. Eddie Gilbert, John Tatum & Sting (8/3/86)

Really great breaking loose in Tulsa match, I want to make sure we have at least one Link match on there, and this may be it. Tatum bumps like a total freak for the Link's headbutts, and all six guys were going a million miles an hour. Really fun and I am nomming it

Ted Dibiase & Missing Link vs. John Tatum & Jack Victory (Houston)

Similar to the Tulsa match as the highlight was the Tatum v. Link sections, this felt a little more time killey, and while fun can probably be left off
