Louisiana Heavyweight Title: Killer Khan © vs. Iron Mike Sharpe (7/21/82) Sharpe is getting a pretty solid push here and wins by DQ here as Akbar comes in to stop Sharpe from piledriving Khan. Sharpe ends up piledriving Akbar for the 2nd consecutive show. Ricky Harris (Black Bart) vs. Rick McCord (7/21/82) Harris gets a spotlight match and wins with the hangman’s noose. Ted DiBiase & Hacksaw Duggan vs. Jesse Barr & Vinnie Romeo (Vinnie Valentino) (7/21/82) DiBiase & Duggan’s first match as a team and they looked great. The Assassin vs. Colonel Buckley Christopher George Robley III (7/21/82) DiBiase is at ringside scouting the match. Robley is wearing his awesome “Nobody Calls Me Yellow†yellow shirt. Robley has the Assassin in the Weaver Lock and knocks the ref to the floor so DiBiase comes in with the loaded glove but hits Assassin. Robley then loads up his brace and DiBiase pushed Assassin right into the loaded brace before leaving the ring. The match ends in a no contest. Dick Murdoch sends an interview to Mid-South from Japan saying that he will be back soon. Ted DiBiase vs. Tommy Saxon (8/4/82) Watts spends most of the match putting over referee Alfred Neely’s new business. Colonel Buckley Christopher George Robley III vs. Billy Starr (8/4/82) These two look like brothers and have great beards. Robley wins with the sleeper. Hacksaw Duggan vs. Tony Torres (8/4/82) Squash. Killer Khan & One Man Gang vs. “Precious†Paul Ellering & Mr. Olympia (8/4/82) This is quite the matchup. Not a bad little match.
