No DQ, No Time Limit, Loser Leaves Town: Kamala & Mr. Kareem Muhammad vs. Hacksaw Duggan & “Cowboy” Bill Watts (8/10/85)

Watts goes to the floor before the match and jumps on Akbar who bladed and then they go to town on their opponents as the Dome goes apeshit. The brawl goes to the floor and they continue to beat the shit out of Akbar’s Army then when the action goes to the ring it’s much of the same. Watts ends up getting the heat as Kamala pounds on him mercilessly with Kareem to follow. Watts takes quite the beating here and the Dome is rocking trying to support him to get the tag to Duggan. It’s funny because Duggan tries to help Watts but referee Tony Torres makes him go back to the corner in a no DQ match where Duggan could do what he wanted. Watts’ heat section lasted about 10 minutes and seemed like forever. Duggan gets the hot tag and cleans house with his tremendous punches but gets tossed to the floor leaving Watts alone where he is at the mercy of Akbar who tries to light a fireball but Duggan spears him. The brawl goes back to the floor before Duggan & Watts go back to the ring and beat on Akbar for a bit with his riding crop. Duggan takes care of the other guys as they try to enter the ring but as this goes on a mysterious masked man (El Corsario) runs in and hits a superkick on Watts followed by a Kamala splash and Watts is counted out. This was a very fun brawl but just short of a nomination.

Wendell Cooley & Mark Ragin vs. Jerry Grey & Carl Styles (8/10/85)

Not a bad match.

Little Tokyo vs. Little Coco (8/10/85)

Fun little (no pun intended) match with the usual midget spots.

Al Perez vs. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (8/10/85)

Gilbert wasn’t working his usual chickenshit heel schtick here as he was a tweener working face some nights and heel the others. This was a basic match nothing spectacular and both men looked good especially Perez.

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. “Superstar” Bill Dundee & “Dirty” Dutch Mantell (8/10/85)

This is the first big match in this feud and it starts out as a brawl at the bell before the Fants clear the ring. Very good southern style tag match with everyone looking solid in their roles. Fulton gets the heat section and the heels do a great job of keeping him away from Rogers giving him a good beating especially working on his arm. The fans go nuts when Rogers gets the hot tag and he is a house-of-fire along with Fulton who has recovered. Dundee hits a vertical suplex on Fulton but Rogers climbs on the second rope and hits a diving body press on Dundee for the win. I liked this match a lot and it’s also a borderline nomination on my end and wouldn’t mind if it made the block.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. “Bruiser” Bob Sweetan (9/8/85)

This is in Tulsa and Jake comes out firing away with punches and tries for the DDT seconds later but Sweetan ducks to the floor and tries it again right after he comes back in the ring to the same results. Sweetan plays the dirty heel using the hair and taking other cheap shots to keep Jake down on the mat. There is a ref bump and Dr. Death comes out but Jake takes care of him then Sweetan hits Doc by accident and eats a DDT for the finish. Okay match.

Handicap Match: Hacksaw Duggan, Al Perez, & Kerry Von Erich vs. El Corsario (Savio Vega), Mr. Kareem Muhammad, “Bruiser” Bob Sweetan, & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams (9/8/85)

This is from OKC and the Midnight Rider was supposed to be their partner but he isn’t there and Kerry tells the heels that they need more guys not them. This was a fun match with the faces really looking good especially Duggan & Kerry who even does his own version of the Fargo Strut. Perez of course became the FIP and took a beating from all the heels. Duggan eventually makes the hot tag and it ends up with everyone brawling until Chris Adams shows up and jumps Kerry for the DQ where they have a wild brawl on the floor. The Midnight Rider (Bill Watts) finally shows up and cleans house with his shock stick.

Iceman Parsons vs. Mark Lewin (9/22/85)

This is a World Class match in OKC. Lewin loves his nerve holds and looks so washed up here although he still could brawl. Iceman makes a good comeback but still not enough to save this dog of a match.

El Corsario vs. Pat Rose (9/22/85)

Squash.

Misty Blue vs. Linda Dallas (9/22/85)

Not that bad of a match. Funny part of this match was Tommy Gilbert pulling out a chunk of Linda’s hair.

If Corsario's superkick had been better I would say this goes on, but the shitty superkick keeps it off

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. “Superstar” Bill Dundee & “Dirty” Dutch Mantell (8/10/85)

Man is Dundee awesome here, as per usual I loved his headbutts both the one to the temple and the comedy headbutt to Fulton's head. Really hot crowd, and a great finish this goes on.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. “Bruiser” Bob Sweetan (9/8/85)

This kind of sucked for two great guys

Weird WARish lineup. This was fun, but not a nomination. Kareem Muhammed sells a punch great
