Posted August 30, 200718 yr comment_5421288 Mid-South Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero (2/13/85) These two had a match on the previous week’s show with 2 referees and now it is time for a regular match with one referee at Chavo’s request. Tremendous teamwork early on by the RnR and Hector was great at selling his leg as they were working on it. The match goes to a break when RnR send Chavo & Hector out of the ring and it starts back with Chavo hitting a fantastic overhead belly-to-belly on Morton. Morton takes a good beating here as the fans try their best to rally him. The Guerreros really work on Morton’s back switching back and forth with Chavo using a Boston Crab and Hector using a modified bow-and-arrow. Gibson finally gets the hot tag and the brawl is on with a tremendous four-way criss cross and Morton hits a sunset flip on Hector as Chavo jumps on Carl Fergie on purpose to stop the count. Hector holds Gibson up where he barely hits a pescado then they come back in the ring with a suplex on Morton. They try for their double surfboard with Gibson sliding under Morton to get the pin in a fucking fantastic finish. This was a tremendous match and a slam dunk nomination.

August 30, 200718 yr comment_5421299 Yeah this is absolutely on there, Guerreros were just suplex machines, I loved the double surfboard finish too. It has been a bit since I watched this, but this was without a doubt something which needs to go on
September 7, 200718 yr comment_5421600 This was really cool. The early work on Hector's leg was well done, plus Hector's selling of the limb work was good. chavo's Northern Lights Suplex was awesome. The Guerrero's offense was just awesome. They were working a style that was so ahead of its time. The finish was just classic. This should find a spot on a disk.
