Posted August 31, 200718 yr comment_5421371 Brian Blair vs. Tom Renesto Jr. (12/16/81) Blair looked fine here. “Precious” Paul Ellering vs. Don Serrano (12/16/81) God I loved Precious Paul especially as a face. Junkyard Dog vs. Mike Bowyer (12/16/81) Squash. Paul Orndorff & Bob Orton Jr. vs. The Monk & Carlos Zapata (12/16/81) A rare heel vs. heel squash that is actually pretty competitive and Orndorff/Orton are awesome as a team. Bob Roop vs. Mike George (12/16/81) George is a built dude that bounced around through a lot of territories. This is a very stiff looking match with these two really laying in the shots. This is an old-style worked match nothing fancy just two guys being down and dirty especially Roop who rakes George’s eyes across the top and bottom ropes. George throws some tremendous punches in his comeback and then he rakes Roop’s eyes across the top rope. George got a nearfall on his russian legsweep and tried again but Roop grabbed the second rope. Roop then went for his shoulderbreaker but George countered and hit a couple of dropkicks but Roop kicked out and sent George to the floor. Roop tried for a flying headscissors but missed and landed on the apron before sending George running into the ringpost arm first. George makes it back in the ring and has to use his left arm to hurt Roop but Roop runs him into the corner where he hit right arm first. Roop then ran and hit his high knee lift right on the right arm and gets the win. I dug this match a shitload and I think this should be a nomination because it was no frills hard hitting ass beating match that got a big chunk of time. Ed Wiskowski vs. Mike Bond (12/16/81) Squash. Iron Sheik vs. Frank Monte (12/16/81) Precious Paul comes out before the match to swing the Persian Clubs and he does it 50 times while not being attacked which is a shock. Sheik is pissed and squashes Monte. Ellering wants Sheik to do his own after the match but Akbar kills enough time talking that it doesn’t happen. Mike George & Carlos Zapata vs. Ricky Ferrara & Jerry Novak (12/16/81) There is a problem as the audio from the first show is on the footage from this show. Iron Sheik swings his clubs and we still have the audio from the first show. Ellering then swings the clubs and of course this time Sheik jumps him and puts him in the Camel Clutch before destroying him. Paul Orndorff vs. Brian Blair (12/16/81) Good little match. Ted DiBiase vs. Mike Bowyer (12/16/81) DiBiase looked good. Bob Orton Jr. & Bob Roop vs. Mike Bond & Frank Monte (12/16/81) What a team Orton & Roop are. Ed Wiskowski vs. Tom Renesto Jr. (12/16/81) Squash. Iron Sheik vs. Don Serrano (12/16/81) Ellering jumps Sheik right after the bell and runs him out of the ring.
October 19, 200717 yr comment_5422938 Bob Roop vs. Mike George (12/16/81) FUCK YEAH, This was a total blast, so many spots that wrestlers should watch and steal. All of Roop's eye rake spots were great, as was the apron posting. Roop's running high knee was spectacular. I totally loved this
