Posted September 3, 200718 yr comment_5421436 -Dick Slater vs. Dr. Death (TV title tourney) Really fun TV match which goes over a commericial break. They have moved to Tulsa for the TV taping so Dr. Death is a de facto babyface. Lots of suplexes and fun exchanges in this, and a big hot finish. I am throwing this on the nomination bandwagon see how it goes. Butch Reed vs. Mike Scott Squash, Scott is a big dude Bruise Brothers vs. Eddie Gilbert & The Nightmare Fineish TV match, Mad Dog Boyd is really terrible, and his stinkyness kind of overshadows everything. Jake Roberts vs. Buzz Sawyer (TV title tourney) This is pretty fun too, Sawyer takes a Psicosis ringpost bump, and Jake works the arm, and they build nicely to the DDT tease. I think it is a slight step below disc worthy though, although I wouldn't object too strenously if Kris or Loss or Shoe or Tomk wanted it on. Humongous vs. Perry Jackson Squash Al Perez & Ricky Gibson vs. Rob Ricksteiner & Ricky Starr I enjoyed the Ricksteiner v. Perez amature stuff, and I love me a Gibson leglock, fun semi squash. Ted Dibiase & Dr. Death vs. JR Hogg & Shawn O'Reilly Was JR Hogg a Moondog? This was fine Buzz Sawyer vs. Perry Jackson Dick Murdoch & Masked Superstar vs. Tommy Wright & Steve Doll Squashes, but those are some fun guys to watch squash people Somewhere in here I didn't get the Slater v. Reed match Shoe nominated, isn't on this DVD, so hopefully we have it somewhere. Terry Taylor vs. The Nightmare This is Taylor getting his revenge on Nightmare on his return to the territory, fine but Nightmare is kind of back to being a jobber Jake Roberts vs. Dick Slater (TV title tourney final) (1/1/86) This was a blast, this was the sped up TV version of their house show matches, so it was all workrate speedy bumping, I liked this a ton. Roberts is ridiculously over, and the DDT is used perfectly Buzz Sawyer vs. Steve Doll Eddie Gilbert vs. Tommy Wright Squashes, although you always want to watch Sawyer Terry Taylor vs. Humongous This was fun, as Taylor kept working the body to avoid the mask, fun for a Humongous match, but nothing disc worthy The Nightmare, JR Hogg & Joe Malcolm vs. Brett Sawyer, Al Perez & Ricky Gibson This was a fun TV semi-squash, I dig the fuck out of Ricky Gibson Ted Dibiase vs. Gustavo Mendoza Gustavo gets some offense in here in his debut, fun TV match. Jake Roberts vs. Dick Slater (Clip) Buzz Sawyer vs. Butch Reed (12/31/85 Clip) Dick Slater vs. Butch Reed (1/1/86 Clip) Do we have the Sawyer v. Reed dog collar match? They showed the last couple of seconds and it looked sick. Terry Taylor music video ("When the Going Gets Tough") Ted Dibiase & Dr. Death vs. Eddie Gilbert & The Nightmare This was a nifty, competitive TV match Gilbert takes a great high backdrop. Doc is awesome here, over as fuck in Tulsa. Interview w/ Dick Slater Fabulous Ones vs. Ricky Gibson & Steve Doll Buzz Sawyer vs. Joe Malcolm Basically squashes, but fun ones, Fabs are great heels Dick Murdoch & Masked Superstar vs. Brett Sawyer & Al Perez I am going to go ahead and nominate this, Sawyer and Perez bring it right to Murdoch and Superstar, Murdoch and Superstar are such an amazing team, just killers on offense and big bumpers on defense. Crowd in Tulsa is super into the underdogs, and you buy all of the near falls.

Reed dog collar match? They showed the last couple of seconds and it looked sick. 1. On the Slater vs. Reed match I have it from Will's Butch Reed comp. The match is also on The Barnett Mid-South stuff. 2. The Sawyer vs. Reed dog collar match is from the Barnett set also, but I thinks it's from a houseshow too.
