I dug this. It's super hot at the beginning and the faces are looking fantastic. Murdoch brings some cool stoogeing early.I thought Perez looked great, and Sawyer is one of those workers from the 80's that are really good that don't get enough praise. I enjoyed the match where the work got the crowd solidly behind the underdogs. I didn't quite get the finish, but oh well. This should make a disk, just really compelling work for all 4 guys involved.

Al Perez & Brett Sawyer vs. Masked Superstar #2 (Kelly Kiniski) & “Capt. Redneck” Dick Murdoch (1/19/86)

This had a great start with Perez & Sawyer taking it right to the heels as the Tulsa fans go wild and give credit to the heels for bumping and selling hard for the underdog team. You can tell the difference in the Superstars as Kiniski was slimmer and had shorter hair under the mask. The heels would look dominant on offense but the underdogs look great and almost always had the edge. Murdoch would get so frustrated that he would get a steel chair to attack Sawyer for the DQ. The finish was fucking great in my opinion because the heels had to resort to using a chair to save themselves because they were afraid they were going to get beat. This is a definite nomination.
