Crowd in Tulsa is super into the underdogs, and you buy all of the near falls.
September 4, 200718 yr comment_5421459 I dug this. It's super hot at the beginning and the faces are looking fantastic. Murdoch brings some cool stoogeing early.I thought Perez looked great, and Sawyer is one of those workers from the 80's that are really good that don't get enough praise. I enjoyed the match where the work got the crowd solidly behind the underdogs. I didn't quite get the finish, but oh well. This should make a disk, just really compelling work for all 4 guys involved.
November 7, 200717 yr comment_5423602 This won't make the final disc count unless it is one of the personal choice cuts. I enjoyed it but there are better Murdoch and Superstar matches that will make the set and the finish may have had the underdogs hands raised but the DQ finish wasn't the special underdog babyface upset you would want. I vote no.
November 26, 200717 yr comment_5424539 Al Perez & Brett Sawyer vs. Masked Superstar #2 (Kelly Kiniski) & “Capt. Redneck” Dick Murdoch (1/19/86) This had a great start with Perez & Sawyer taking it right to the heels as the Tulsa fans go wild and give credit to the heels for bumping and selling hard for the underdog team. You can tell the difference in the Superstars as Kiniski was slimmer and had shorter hair under the mask. The heels would look dominant on offense but the underdogs look great and almost always had the edge. Murdoch would get so frustrated that he would get a steel chair to attack Sawyer for the DQ. The finish was fucking great in my opinion because the heels had to resort to using a chair to save themselves because they were afraid they were going to get beat. This is a definite nomination.

November 27, 200717 yr comment_5424558 Yeah, it has been an issue for me since this project began. I have been watching and collecting Mid South non-stop for the last two years so I don't have the wide-eyed fuzzy feeling that I see coming from you guys when discovering alot of these matches.
