Mid-South shows the outstanding Kamala video in Lawler’s backyard as he will be making his debut in 2 weeks.

Hacksaw Duggan vs. Jesse Barr (9/15/82)

Squash.

Ted DiBiase vs. Johnny Rich (9/15/82)

Competitive squash and Rich looked pretty good but DiBiase was the better man winning with the loaded glove.

“General” Skandor Akbar vs. Tim Horner (9/15/82)

Akbar has put up $1,000 against Robley to see who can win their matches the quickest. Akbar wins easily with the Camel Clutch.

Colonel Buckley Christopher George Robley III vs. Kelly Kiniski (9/15/82)

Akbar comes in before the match and offers Kiniski a bonus to take out Robley who must win this match in less than 2:10. Robley dropkicks Kiniski into Akbar and hits him with the loaded brace to win in seconds. Robley gets rid of Akbar and collects his money.

Mid-South Tag Titles: Junkyard Dog & Mr. Olympia © vs. Killer Khan & One Man Gang (9/15/82)

JYD buried both Khan & Gang last week so let’s see what happens here. They actually got heat on JYD here but he backdropped Gang as he tried to piledrive him before getting the hot tag to Olympia. The heels then start working on Olympia but Khan misses his kneedrop off the second rope and JYD comes back in as a house of fire with punches and headbutts. JYD hit the big Thump on Gang again to retain their titles. This was a pretty fun match.

Mr. Wrestling II vs. The Grappler (9/15/82)

I think this will be the blowoff to their issue from the past couple of weeks but this isn’t Len Denton as the Grappler and they talk about that on commentary. In fact this could be Tony Anthony under the hood. II looked great here. After a ref bump the real Grappler shows up and uses his own kneelifts but II hits his kneelifts on both men many times sending them running.

Iron Mike Sharpe vs. Larry Clark (9/15/82)

Squash.

They show a video of the Mongolian Stomper as he was supposed to be coming to Mid-South but never does.

The Grapplers (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) vs. Tim Horner & Johnny Rich (9/15/82)

Anthony gets his first push. Watts talks about on commentary how guys that left Mid-South like Orndorff & Samoans are getting pushed on TBS and they couldn’t handle it in Mid-South. Horner & Rich got some offense in but this was still basically a squash.

Junkyard Dog vs. Billy Starr (9/15/82)

Squash.

Mr. Wrestling II vs. Larry Clark (9/15/82)

Squash.

Lumberjack Match: Colonel Buckley Christopher George Robley III vs. One Man Gang (9/15/82)

The lumberjacks really get involved when the Gang gets thrown on the floor. This wasn’t a bad match and I really liked Robley dropkicking Gang over the top rope right to the lumberjacks. Robley got the win using his brace off the middle rope.

Ted DiBiase & Hacksaw Duggan vs. Jesse Barr & Vinnie Romeo (9/15/82)

Barr & Romeo get their chances but to no avail. DiBiase & Duggan whine after the match about not getting a rematch with JYD & Olympia and Olympia comes in the ring telling them that he will get JYD out of the shower so of course they attack him from behind. They beat the shit out of Olympia until the face locker room makes the save.

Another Mongolian Stomper video from Georgia airs.

DiBiase & Duggan are still in the ring after the video airs demanding for people to face them and they are obliged by JYD & Murdoch. They brawl until the TV time runs out.

Mid-South Tag Titles: Junkyard Dog & Mr. Olympia © vs. Killer Khan & One Man Gang (9/15/82)

I am going ahead and nominating this, a super energetic match with alot of high impact stuff by all four guys, lots of little stuff I loved here. Khan's missed knee's, OMG's big bumping, Olympia scurring for the hot tag, plus JYD's thump of One Man Gang is a ridicolously impressive looking finish.

Lumberjack Match: Buck Robley vs. One Man Gang (9/15/82)

You are really underating this, as this was maybe my favorite match I watched all day. Robley is a great scuzzy babyface, and 1982 One Man Gang is Vader level awesome. The lumberjack stips kept it moving at a really great pace, and the missed 747 was insane looking. Robley getting the big win had me jumping out of my seat. I loved this match and though it was a slam dunk nomination

This on the other hand was just perfectly laid out wrestling with neat receipt payback spots and satisfying flow and finish and probably should be on set.
