Any ideas where this awesome footage came from? Ive been the Story of wrestlemania DVD and dont recall this footage being on there so guessing this surfaced a while ago online.

I'm having trouble locating the original source of where I would have read this, but I recall reading that this footage surfaced when someone received tapes and memorabilia from Bobby Heenan's personal archive after his death, as apparently what Bobby had received for his own archive was a production master. It really made me wonder if any other oddball gems like this may have been in his collection, but so far this seems to be the only real revelation to come out in the wake of that archive transfer.

I read some offhand comment that they possibly filmed this in consideration of the federal heat on Vince at the time. I haven’t seen the documentary the company put out using this footage but I’m kind of guessing there might be some half truth to it. It was said to be very unusual for behind the scenes stuff to be filmed like that at the time, I know that much.
