Junkyard Dog vs. Nick Bockwinkel (9/24/82)

This is from Houston and in full by the way it looks. Bock bumps and sells for JYD like a fucking champ what a great worker he was. JYD hit the big Thump but doesn’t cover Bock and just unloads with a headbutt followed by another big Thump for the 3 count. This match was really quick.

Colonel Buckley Christopher George Robley III vs. Skandor Akbar (9/29/82)

Thing is about these Akbar matches is that I would’ve loved to see him wrestle in his prime because he looked like he was quite the powerhouse. Robley threw some great punches here and had Akbar in the sleeper hold when the Mongolian Stomper showed up and destroyed Robley using the SHENNOMAKE!!!!! along with the jobbers that tried to help him.

Kamala vs. Tim Horner (9/29/82)

Kamala’s debut in Mid-South and a big one at that.

The Grapplers (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) vs. Jesse Barr & Vinnie Romeo (9/29/82)

Squash.

Mr. Olympia vs. Ricky Harris (9/29/82)

Olympia looked great.

Tony Atlas sends a promo from Houston telling of him coming to Mid-South. This was a tremendous promo not in a good way either then they show a JIP match against Gran Markus.

Ted DiBiase vs. Mike Bond (9/29/82)

Squash and after the match DiBiase refuses to leave the ring talking a bunch of shit leading to….

Mr. Wrestling II vs. Ted DiBiase (9/29/82)

II was supposed to face Bob Stabler but DiBiase’s mouth got him in this one. The match was going really good until TV time ran out but were are promised the rest of the match on the next show and sure enough they rejoin it where they left off. Duggan runs in like 30 seconds later and it ends up being a wild brawl but II gets the advantage back and clears the ring of both men with some Million-Dollar Kneelifts that DiBiase sold like hell. This was great fun to see II work his magic.

The Mongolian Stomper vs. Mike Bond (9/29/82)

Squash.

Colonel Buckley Christopher George Robley III vs. Grappler #2 (Tony Anthony) (9/29/82)

Iron Mike Sharpe & Mr. Wrestling II are at ringside watching Robley’s back and of course The Grappler shows up but keeps his distance. This was a pretty fine match that Robley wins with the sleeper.

Ted DiBiase & Hacksaw Duggan vs. “Capt. Redneck” Dick Murdoch & Iron Mike Sharpe (9/29/82)

DiBiase & Duggan was a damn good team here and Murdoch was great of course. Sharpe was okay but definitely the weak link here. DiBiase was a machine here making the faces offense look awesome. Sharpe tried to piledrive DiBiase but Duggan hit him head-first with a spear and then DiBiase KOed him with the loaded glove for the win. Very fun match.

Kamala vs. Vinnie Romeo (9/29/82)

Squash city.

Junkyard Dog & Mr. Olympia vs. Kelly Kiniski & Bob Stabler (9/29/82)

I think Ken Stabler was a better wrestler than Bob Stabler.

Jesse Barr vs. Tim Horner (9/29/82)

Spotlight match for both men really that ends in a TV draw.
