Posted September 7, 200718 yr comment_5421588 Long slow building title match, this really felt like a big main event, and all four guys were great here. Murdoch and Superstar are an awesome team, and Murdoch is constantly trying to kill DiBiase with rabbit punches. I would have liked to see a better finish, but this feels like one of the better Houston matches.
September 10, 200718 yr comment_5421711 This was really good and all 4 guys looked great. I thought the early stooging by both heels was fantastic. Superstar would take just nice hard believeable bumps. Along with this Murdoch tied in some great comedy spots. I loved how the ref would block Murdoch's punches which left him wide open for some great Dibiase punches. The football tackle spots with Doc were great, and set up the cheapshot elbow by Murdoch. About 10 minutes in the heels start to get heat on Dibiase. This was well done by destroying Ted's neck. They also peppered in some cool hope spots for Dibiase during the heat sequence. It seemed like the timeing was off on the hot tag, and the finish kinda sucked so the match ended kinda flat. Overall though the match was good and well heated and I hope it finds a way to end up on a disk.
November 7, 200717 yr comment_5423607 Ted Dibiase & Steve Williams vs. Dick Murdoch & Masked Superstar 2/14/86 (Bollom 7.1) (22:55) - I see exactly where Phil is coming from in saying it fills like it should be on the set without outright calling it a definitive pick. Murdoch shines and you can really tell he is more comfortable in his heel role more than playing smiling 1985 babyface. The football tackle segments were great and I this is one of the few 20 minute + matches I wished would have gone longer. If anything, the crappy finish helps set up the 8 man tag on the 28th. Yes vote from me.
November 27, 200717 yr comment_5424556 Mid-South Tag Titles: Ted DiBiase & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams © vs. Masked Superstar #2 (Kelly Kiniski) & “Capt. Redneck” Dick Murdoch (2/14/86) This is a great match here with everyone looking really solid and the usual of DiBiase getting his ass kicked in this series setting up the big comeback was great here. This got a lot of time and it felt right with Will being right that it actually could’ve gotten more time and there would be no problem. Easy nomination.
