I agree, another kick ass match that involved Jake. The opening feeling out process was cool as hell. Jake's short arm clothesline was strong. Jake's neck work on Taylor was great. I loved Taylor's counter to the headlock by busting out a swank looking backbreaker. The nearfalls were terriffic in this match that popped the crowd. I thought the timeing on the missed kneelift was perfect. It had a super hot finish. It was a babyface match, but Jake totally had the crowd. It was neat how the crowd at first popped for the finish, then started booing Taylor as he celebrated. This should make a disk no questions asked.

#1 Contender Match for the North American Heavyweight Title: Terry Taylor vs. Jake “The Snake” Roberts (2/11/86)

Jake’s last TV match and it’s funny to see Taylor get booed in OKC. These two had unfinished business from before Taylor left so this should be interesting. This was a game of human chess as they were trying to outthink each other and both men tried to avoid the other one’s finisher. Taylor would strike first as he hit him with the five-arm and Jake went all the way to the floor. Taylor was really sharp here as he was keeping Jake on the mat but Jake would reverse a wristlock into his short clothesline. Jake then takes it to mat and works a headlock but Taylor would reverse that into a backbreaker. Taylor missed a diving elbow and Jake destroyed him with a high kneelift. Both men would trade shots until Jake nuked him with the DDT but Taylor would get his foot under the rope as Jake rolled him the wrong way. Taylor would roll to the floor and as Jake let him in, he caught him with another high kneelift but missed another one. Taylor then locked in an inside cradle for the victory. This was a really solid match and a definite nomination.
