[1993-11-28-WCW-Jacksonville, FL] Rick Rude vs Ricky Steamboat

I thought this was an excellent house show title defense. They got a lot out of not doing very much but kept it exciting and engaging the entire way through. Steamboat gets a great babyface reaction with Rude only having to play a very low key heel. There's a great moment where he gets shit canned over the the guard rail and kids (and I think some older fans too) swarm to lay hands on Ricky and lend support. If I had one criticism some of Steamboat's frustration made him less likable by the end but that also kind of worked in the favor of the psychology of the match. I love the chemistry these two had and was really happy to get this example of them working for the back row.
