Posted September 11, 200718 yr comment_5421763 This was a real barn burner of a tag. The Fantastic's looked great early on by doing some nifty arm work on the DWB's. I loved how the Fantastics did the fake tags behind the refs back. The Fantastics are superb at getting the crowd involved in their matches, and here is no different. The crowd was going crazy throughout the match. Tommy Rogers was phenomenal with his drop kicks, and other assorted high spots in the match. When he took that hot tag OMG he was on fire. Fulton's FIP section was good, and sucked the crowd in with his selling of the beating the DWB's were giveing him. Watching a lot of Fulton lately shows he might be the must underrated puncher in the business. Here he threw some awesome looking ones. The DWB's were solid as usual. They just work smart and within themselves. They cut the ring in half and just worked over Fulton with gouges, hair pulls, forearm smashes and the crowd ate it up. This was just a really good Southern Tag with a super hot finish. I think this match should make a disk.

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. The Dirty White Boys (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) (6/30/85) It’s always funny watching the females fall all over the Fants and some basically want to rape them. Fants were very good here at the switching in and out spots and doing double team moves. Rogers throws some of the best dropkicks and he had a couple in this match that were outstanding. Fulton to his credit throws some great punches here that sounded like gunshots. DWB’s finally got their heat almost 10 minutes into the match and they proceed to take out their frustrations on Fulton. Fulton was pretty great here playing the FIP as his trying to get the tag to Rogers was like life or death to him and the fans were going nuts wanting him to get to the corner. And said hot tag happened after Denton missed a reverse elbow drop off the middle rope and Fulton rolled into the corner with the tag and the OKC crowd was bonkers as was Rogers who started taking out the DWB’s like they owed him money. The proverbial house-o-fire so to speak and the finish came soon thereafter as after Rogers was thrown to the floor, he hit a sunset flip over the apron on Denton for the win. So both tag matches ended with a sunset flip. I’m on the fence on this one, I really liked this match but not sure if it is nominee material. I’ll wait and see how the others feel. Will... I have been watching some great tags all day. However, I have noticed that no matter what, after the hot tag, the match always ends shortly after. I can't help but compare this o RNR-DWB and this one falls short. I think it is also below the level of Guerreros-Fabs, the JYD/Olympia tag and others. I'll vote no.
November 14, 200718 yr comment_5423918 This did very little for me, not one of the better matches from either team and it was utterly smoked by the earlier tag. Not a disc worthy match. Fantastics are no Rock and Roll Express, and this didn't feel like a high end DWB's performance either
November 14, 200718 yr comment_5423930 I think it was mentioned earlier, but DWBs-RNR is the tag feud that just clicked. The Fans clicked with plenty of teams but DWBs aren't one of them.
November 14, 200718 yr comment_5423932 Ok their have been some good Fulton ace in peril matches. This really was the least of the Fulton face in peril segments.
November 14, 200718 yr comment_5423947 The best match I've seen between them was actually on TV, on 06/21/85. Not sure if that has been nominated or not.
