Lunde’s debut in Mid-South and this was a pretty decent match.

Ted DiBiase vs. Mr. Olympia (10/13/82)

 

This is all-action from the bell with lots of nearfalls. Both men looked really sharp here especially Olympia. The story of this match was that both men were trying the other man’s moves to win and DiBiase used Olympia’s sleeper to win after a loaded glove shot. Really solid match.

 

Mr. Wrestling II vs. The Grappler (10/13/82)

 

Good back-and-forth match between the masked men. Grappler kept using II’s kneelift to piss him off, which it did and II eventually won the match with the Million-Dollar Kneelift. II gave him another one after the match to seal the deal. This was fun stuff.

 

Louisiana Heavyweight Title: Iron Mike Sharpe © vs. Hacksaw Duggan (10/13/82)

 

This wasn’t a bad match at all that Duggan wins the title in since he was getting the big push.

 

Vladic Smirnoff vs. Vinnie Romeo (10/13/82)

 

I think that Smirnoff would soon become Kortsia Korchenko and he looked like complete shit here.

 

Grappler #2 (Tony Anthony) vs. Bob Stabler (10/13/82)

Good competitive match that II wins with a backdrop suplex hold that was nice.

 

Ted DiBiase & Hacksaw Duggan vs. Ted Allen & Marty Lunde (10/13/82)

 

DiBiase & Duggan looked really good here.

Another good solid competitive match with both teams looking good and the champs winning.

Really good wrestling match and even better commentary by Bob Roop.

I enjoyed Olympia v. DiBiase and II v. Grappler, but a step below a disc. Fucking Bob Roop owns on commentary. I was dying during the Barr v. Kiniski match.
