Posted September 15, 200718 yr comment_5421906 I remember liking this match when I first watched it a couple of years ago, but I don’t remember it being this good. Just a solid 15 minute match, starting with some very cool mat exchanges and standing switches, and moving into some pretty big moves for an undercard match, Mendoza is a good bumper, and sells the leg really well. Sawyer has a great dropkick. Disc pick for sure

November 25, 200717 yr comment_5424493 I finally got around to watching this. I find it funny that Phil criticized Dibiase-Armstrong for being generic 80s heel vs. generic 80s face when this is the definition of that type of match, with evil foreigner thrown in for good measure. Still, I liked that match and I liked this one also. The good thing with throwing 2 jobbers out there is you really have no idea who will win. I also loved Mendoza ramming Brett's face in the mat and then topping it off with a knee to the cranium.
November 28, 200717 yr comment_5424608 Brett Sawyer vs. Gustavo Mendoza (5/9/86) This was a damn good match between the two best undercarders in the UWF at this time. Both men looked great here getting a chance to shine against each other.
