Posted September 20, 200718 yr comment_5422097 Cocoa Samoa vs. Bill Ash (2/17/82) Competitive match that Samoa wins. The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) vs. Brian Blair & Frank Monte (2/17/82) Blair puts up a fight but it’s a squash. Ted DiBiase vs. Hacksaw Higgins (2/17/82) DiBiase looks good. Bob Roop vs. Ricky Ferrara (2/17/82) Squash. Junkyard Dog & Mr. Olympia vs. The Grappler (Len Denton) & “Bruiser” Bob Sweetan (2/17/82) JYD is pissed about Mike George being hurt so he takes it out on the heels here and this is the beginning of the JYD/Olympia partnership. JYD threw some awesome punches here and was a great pissed off worker. Grappler got the advantage though and looked strong mainly because they were pimping up a match for the next week with him & DiBiase for the North American title. Olympia locks Grappler in a sleeper but Sweetan hits him with a karate thrust but Sweetan would soon get run into the loaded boot of the Grappler. JYD makes the hot tag and hits the big Thump for the win. This was a pretty good TV match. “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes vs. “The Polish Prince” Ed Wiskowski (2/17/82) Dusty looked good. Paul Orndorff vs. Tony Torres (2/17/82) Squash. Jesse Barr & Buddy Landell vs. Bill Ash & Jesse Tanner (3/3/82) Spotlight match for the young lions. The Grappler vs. Frank Monte (3/3/82) Squash. Killer Karl Kox vs. Don Serrano (3/3/82) HERE COME DA JUDGE!!! and he squashes Serrano. Iron Mike Sharpe vs. Bob Orton Jr. (3/3/82) Orton is on the way out and Sharpe is coming back in so you can guess the result. Orton looks great though. Paul Orndorff vs. Tony Torres (3/3/82) Poor Torres has to get squashed by Orndorff again and Orndorff looked awesome even hitting an enzuigiri. Mr. Olympia vs. Bob Roop (3/3/82) Another match between these two and the others have always been good. This was a really good match before Orndorff shows up to distract Olympia. Killer Karl Kox then shows up to chase Orndorff off and the match just stops as both men just stand around. Kox stays at ringside and Olympia tries to get some quick falls on Roop but Roop kicked out. Roop tried to leave the ring but Kox met him so he went right back in the ring. The match started to pick back up and Olympia started trying to finish Roop off but TV time runs out for a draw.
October 28, 200717 yr comment_5423220 Roop v. Olympia is always good, but random KKK and no finish really hurts it and keeps it off the list, I liked the JYD tag and the Dusty match were fun too, but nothing disc worthy here
