Posted September 20, 200718 yr comment_5422104 Country Whipping Match: Ted DiBiase & Terry Taylor vs. Michael “PS” Hayes & Buddy Roberts (10/12/86) The leather is flying as soon as the faces hit the ring and this is wild brawl at the start. This was so great with the straps being used at will between wrestling moves and the Tulsa crowd was eating this up. The strap shots were just so intense and the match as a whole was very heated. Ross also being awesome on the commentary just made this match even better than what it was. The last 5 minutes of this was fast paced and Taylor hit a flying body block on Roberts for the win. The brawl continued after the match and DiBiase yanked out the loaded glove but the Birds got the glove off his hand and Hayes used it on DiBiase. Taylor clears the ring as DiBiase blades and Ross loses his voice to finish off this tremendous segment. Tremendous stuff and a definite nomination.

Not that you guys have responded to my requests but I won't need this disc anymore. As for the match, this was the Buddy Roberts show. Some of the strap shots were just vivious but I also think they didn't take advantage of the straps the way they could have. There were plenty of points where Dibiase had no strap and could have grabbed one to gain a clear advantage but chose to stick to a straight wrestling match. The Freebirds, on the other hand, used them to perfection. I am giving this a yes vote but I don't know how high this will rate on my final ballot.
November 9, 200717 yr comment_5423710 LOL... not guilt tripping. Just glad someone acknowledged one of my posts. This is the same disc that had the 9/28/86 Gordy-Doc match. Did you watch that match on a different disc, maybe a Bollom DVD?

November 17, 200717 yr comment_5424064 This is a bunch of fun and maybe the best match we have watched so far today, I love the Freebirds so much on this set, and while Taylor and DiBiase aren't my favorite, they are both pretty great in brawls, the rail bump Taylor takes is great
