Posted September 21, 200718 yr comment_5422125 The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) vs. Ricky Gibson & Tracy Smothers (2/28/86) Gibson & Smothers put up a good fight but Sheeps go over. Pretty competitive though with the Sheeps selling a good bit. Texas Tornado Steel Cage Match: Chavo & Hector Guerrero vs. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane (2/28/86) This is the blowoff match of their blood feud in Houston and they have some great matches along the way. Chavo & Hector jump in the cage and the war is on as the Fabs immediately start biting on their foreheads. This isn’t the famous Houston cage as it is more like the old school WWF big blue cage but black. Fabs are relentless in this as they just pound the shit out of the Guerreros and use the cage frequently. Guerreros are bleeding profusely 2 minutes into the match. Chavo & Hector make a comeback at the same time and then give the Fabs the same treatment as they got with the biting and throwing into the cage. Hector gets this psycho look when he sees his blood in his hands and just starts beating the hell out of Lane. Keirn tries to leave the cage but Chavo pulls his tights down showing his bare ass while Lane takes Hector between the cage and the ring and chokes him with his foot. They switch off now with the Fabs trading places and they continue their biting tactics and at this time the Fabs have also juiced so everyone is bleeding. Chavo makes a comeback and hits a great nut shot on Keirn before they battle to the top of the cage again and they start punching each other while they straddle the cage. Chavo then gets knocked off and hangs on by his foot as the women start shrieking in horror leaving Hector in the ring to get his ass kicked. Chavo eventually works his way back in the ring and breaks up a spike pildriver attempt before the Guerreros hit one of their own on Keirn for the victory. This was a pretty great blowoff of their feud and a fast paced cage match with lots of blood and intensity. Definite nomination. NWA World Tag Titles: The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) © vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (3/24/86) This legendary feud returns to where it started in New Orleans. The normal solid match between these two teams but we miss some of the middle of the match due to commercials. Morton takes a helluva beating and the MX are their usual relentless selves. Morton gets the hot tag to Gibson and the usual battle is on and after Condrey hit the referee & the RnR hit a double dropkick on Cornette, Eaton hit Gibson with the tennis racket for the victory. Blade Runners video is next and that is another definite extra.
