Bob Roop vs. Buddy Landell (November 1981)

Roop just dominated young Budro.

Mike George & Junkyard Dog vs. Paul Orndorff & Bob Orton Jr. (1/20/82)

It’s a brawl at the bell but it eventually becomes a normal match. Great bumping and selling by both heels especially on JYD’s headbutts. It turns out to be a really good competitive match that ends after JYD hits the big Thump on Orton.

Ted DiBiase vs. Bob Roop (1/20/82)

Orndorff tells the ref to get lost basically and he becomes the referee for the match but DiBiase will have none of it. This ends up being 2-on-1 until Murdoch makes the save making it a wild brawl.

Junkyard Dog vs. Iron Sheik (1/6/82)

Akbar challenged JYD to come out and he did. They brawled for a while then Akbar got involved but JYD still got the win.

Ted DiBiase & “Capt. Redneck” Dick Murdoch vs. Paul Orndorff & Bob Roop (1/20/82)

This should be good stuff depending on the time given. The fans were really into this as this was a fast paced match with both teams showing a lot of intensity. DiBiase hit a tremendous powerslam following up with the figure-four that Orndorff reverses, which is the big angle here between these guys. Orndorff has tremendous leverage here but DiBiase won’t give up and turns it back over. Roop comes in and so does Murdoch who has the ref occupied enough so Roop drops an elbow on DiBiase. Orndorff hits a running knee on Murdoch knocking the ref to the floor then Orton runs in and hits an awesome piledriver on DiBiase. Orndorff then goes for one of his own but DiBiase backdrops him and Murdoch hits a brainbuster on Orton pinning him for the 3 count even though he wasn’t in the match. Great fun but short.

“Big Cat” Ernie Ladd vs. Killer Khan (6/23/82)

Not that bad or that good either.

Andre the Giant, Dusty Rhodes, & Junkyard Dog vs. Ernie Ladd & The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) (1/6/82)

This is a dream match voted on by the fans and it was pretty fun for the short time it lasted. The heels are quite the bumpers here too.

Ernie Ladd has bought out some contracts leading to the next match.

The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) vs. Jesse Barr & Frank Monte (1/6/82)

And it ends up being a squash.

Football Match: Hacksaw Duggan vs. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams (12/3/84)

There was no ropes around the ring and this was basically a sumo match with both men in complete football gear. This had some neat spots but it was slow and plodding. There was some great heat though.

Hair vs. Cornette’s Hair – SR: “Dr. Death” Steve Williams: Hercules Hernandez vs. Hacksaw Duggan (9/3/84)

This is the infamous match where Doc turns heel and costs Duggan the match but with help of the babyface locker room, Duggan shaves Cornette’s head. This is also JIP.

No DQ for the Mid-South Tag Titles: The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) © vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) (9/28/84)

This is from Houston and the Fants come out with all guns blazing as they just pound on the MX to start the match as this is payback for being clobbered with steel chairs on TV. MX are so awesome at selling especially Condrey who bounces around like a pinball. There are some awesome punches being thrown here by the Fants and they are pulling out all spots using tape to choke Eaton. MX try and trap Fulton in their corner but he won’t have that and fights his way out but falls to a knee in the back by Condrey. Fulton gets thrown over the top rope so Rogers tries to help and we are back to a 4-way brawl, which was wild but we end up back with Fulton being the FIP. Fulton takes a great beating as the MX are among the best at keeping the faces from making the hot tag during their control section and the Houston fans are losing their shit trying to rally Fulton to make the tag. Fulton has the chance to make the hot tag but decides to try and run the ropes to hit Condrey but gets met with a big time clothesline. Rogers has seen enough so he comes in and starts cleaning house on Condrey by tying him up in the ropes and just pounds him. Fants are now taking it to the MX but as Rogers tries for an O’Connor Roll the momentum takes him, Condrey, & Carl Fergie to the floor. Fulton gets a sunset flip on Eaton while Cornette puts out Rogers on the floor with an ether rag. This leaves Fulton alone in the ring where he eats a Double Impact for the 3 count. This was a phenomenal match and a slam dunk nomination.

Elimination Match: Jose Lothario & The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero, & Buddy Landell (1/18/85)

It’s a battle between 5 great wrestlers and the washed up Lothario. Guerreros were such tremendous heels here using all the heel tactics and they sell like fucking champs for old man Lothario. Landell doesn’t want to be outdone and he takes a beating as well and then they all take beatings from the RnR until they trap Gibson in their corner but he rolls into a tag to Morton. Morton of course comes in and becomes the FIP taking a pounding from all 3 heels. Morton eventually gets the hot tag to Gibson and a 6-way brawl is on but Chavo would trip up Gibson and Landell dropped his corkscrew elbow but the referee didn’t see the pinfall and Lothario broke it up. RnR would hit a double dropkick on Landell for the pinfall. This was a great match even with Lothario as everyone else worked their ass off and this is a nomination.

No DQ for the North American Heavyweight Title: Magnum TA © vs. Ted DiBiase (6/84)

DiBiase has come into Mid-South representing GCW and wants Magnum’s NA Title on this show in OKC. DiBiase immediately takes this match to the floor and throws Magnum on the ringside table and slams him down head first with Magnum soon returning the favor. This is nothing but a slugfest with both men brawling like crazy before taking it back to the ring but not for long as they go back to the floor. Magnum is just killing DiBiase but missing a running splash in the corner turned the tide as DiBiase soon took control. Magnum would soon resume his offense though but DiBiase loaded up the glove and nailed Magnum who bladed as soon as he hit the mat. Magnum is juicing heavily as DiBiase continues to pound on the cut by throwing him to the floor and ramming him into the railing and ringpost. DiBiase hits his signature powerslam and then goes for the figure-four but Magnum kicks him over the top rope. DiBiase climbs up top when he gets back but Magnum catches him in the ribs and makes a tremendous fiery comeback then hits the belly-to-belly for the victory. Tremendous match and another one that goes on the block.

There is another Magnum/DiBiase match on here that looks like it was from the same day in Tulsa but it knocks off.
