Posted September 25, 200718 yr comment_5422207 Elimination Match: Jose Lothario & The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero, & Buddy Landell (1/18/85) It’s a battle between 5 great wrestlers and the washed up Lothario. Guerreros were such tremendous heels here using all the heel tactics and they sell like fucking champs for old man Lothario. Landell doesn’t want to be outdone and he takes a beating as well and then they all take beatings from the RnR until they trap Gibson in their corner but he rolls into a tag to Morton. Morton of course comes in and becomes the FIP taking a pounding from all 3 heels. Morton eventually gets the hot tag to Gibson and a 6-way brawl is on but Chavo would trip up Gibson and Landell dropped his corkscrew elbow but the referee didn’t see the pinfall and Lothario broke it up. RnR would hit a double dropkick on Landell for the pinfall. This was a great match even with Lothario as everyone else worked their ass off and this is a nomination.
October 7, 200717 yr comment_5422621 I just smiled the whole time I was watching this match. It was just a lot of fun. The Heels were so awesome here. All 3 of them seemed like they got an extra payoff from Boesch on who took the biggest bump from a Lothario super sock punch. Overall, it should get a spot on a disk.
November 8, 200717 yr comment_5423654 Shit, there may be more RNR 6-man tags on this set than regular tags. Everyone was great and Lothario was inoffensive. This will end up on the final product. Yes vote. (start w/ Ross) (3:20)(10:05) (13:25)
November 12, 200717 yr comment_5423862 This was one of my favorite matches from the first batch Kris sent me. Guerrerros have so much classic heel shtick, and I actually enjoyed Lotherio as old asskicker. I think I loved the Dundee/Brickhouse version of this match even more but this is a definite disc selection
