Posted September 26, 200718 yr comment_5422237 Terry Taylor vs. Ken Massey (1/18/87) Taylor looks good. Rick Steiner & Sting vs. Jeff Gaylord & Jeff Raitz (1/18/87) Squash with Steiner & Sting looking even better. Iceman King Parsons vs. Art Crews (1/18/87) Squash. UWF Tag Titles: “Bad Bad” Leroy Brown & Wild Bill Irwin © vs. Hacksaw Duggan & Terry Taylor (12/29/86) This is from Fort Worth and JIP with them showing this to let people see how Duggan & Taylor won the titles. One Man Gang vs. Gary Young (1/18/87) Young puts up a good fight but fails in the end. The Missing Link vs. Jack Victory (1/18/87) Victory like Young earlier tries but fails to top his opponent. There was a great spot where Link did a running headbutt on Victory who went over the top rope and through the ringside table. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy, Michael “PS” Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) (1/18/87) Doc & Fants attack the Birds in their own corner and they beat the hell out of the Birds especially Gordy who takes a double backdrop by the Fants but when Doc prepares to hit his spear, Hayes holds his leg. Doc would soon recover though to hit a German Suplex for a nearfall but Gordy would tag in Buddy. Buddy comes in and gets press slammed along with Michael and the Birds are begging off in the corner. Buddy then ended up getting pounded on by all 3 faces before tagging in Hayes who tried to take Doc in the corner but nailed Gordy by mistake. Hayes would take punishment from the faces before tagging Gordy back in and there is a commercial break when Gordy is being beaten on in the faces’ corner. We come back from break with Fulton in the Birds’ corner getting his ass kicked by all 3 Birds. Fulton finally gets the hot tag to Doc and he cleans house on the Birds knocking Hayes out of the ring with a spear while everyone else brawls with each other. Rogers has the O’Connor Roll on Buddy as the confusion goes on but Hayes hits him with a clothesline and they throw him over the top rope. The Tulsa crowd chants OU as Doc starts pounding on Buddy as we return to a normal match. Hayes tags in and eats a vicious clothesline by Doc and Gordy comes in to get a pounding as well. TV time runs out as Doc kicks Gordy in the head as he tries the piledriver. We get the conclusion on the next show as the Angel of Death runs in and helps the Birds beat up Doc until the faces run them off. This was a great match even with the interrupted screwjob finish and the break in the middle and I’m throwing it on the block. Iceman King Parsons vs. Ken Massey (2/1/87) Iceman is getting more vicious so that must mean his heel turn is coming soon. Angel of Death vs. Johnny West (2/1/87) West makes his debut and gets his ass kicked. UWF TV Title: Savannah Jack © vs. Jack Victory (2/1/87) Jack isn’t much of a worker but he throws a pretty good Superkick. There is a video next for the UWF Tag Titles Tournament seedings. The titles were vacated due to Duggan leaving for the WWF. The Fantastics are also missing from this list as they are headed to World Class. UWF President Cowboy Bill Watts then does a promo about Duggan leaving UWF. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Sting vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) (2/1/87) It’s the end of the line for the Fants in the UWF and who better to face than these guys. Fulton & Gilbert start off with a really fun exchange then Rogers tags in and it gets even better due to Rogers’ dropkicks that send Gilbert to the floor. Gilbert takes more punishment before finally tagging in Sting who nails Rogers with a clothesline after a criss-cross of the ropes. Gilbert would soon tag in but missed with a clothesline before he & Rogers hit each other with one. Both men then made tags and it turns into a 4-way brawl with Fulton jumping over the top rope knocking Steiner off the apron. Rogers hits a dropkick on Gilbert sending him to the floor and Fulton returns with a cross body block off the top rope but Steiner comes in and nails Fulton in the back of the head for a Sting victory. Eddie put on a tremendous one-man show here and I’m on the fence for this one. Terry Taylor vs. Art Crews (2/1/87) Very competitive match.

Gordy v. Williams sections are always great, but this also had some of the better Micheal Hayes I have seen, bumping like a lunatic, hitting nasty punches and clotheslines. Just super stuff and should make a disc even with the cuts.
