Magnum TA & Johnny Rich vs. Doug Vines & Ralph Williams (7/6/83)

Spotlight match for the faces with Magnum debuting the belly-to-belly suplex.

Handicap Match: King Kong Bundy vs. Jerry Caldwell & Ron Ellis (7/6/83)

Squash.

“Hacksaw” Butch Reed vs. Mr. Wrestling II (7/6/83)

This is a brawl at the bell as II unloads some punches and locks in a front chancery that Reed tries to power out of but can’t break. Reed finally breaks out of it by punching II in the ropes and then he starts punishing II. Reed hits a diving kneedrop from the middle rope for a nearfall and continues laying in the soupbones but meets a Million-Dollar Kneelift after an irish whip. II then starts his comeback throwing some great punches and a couple more kneelifts but misses a running one hitting into the turnbuckle. Reed then hits his diving shoulderblock for a nearfall as II gets his foot on the rope. Reed starts going for the mask but II fights back until they collide and fall to the floor. II rolls into the ring first as Reed climbs up top hitting a diving shoulderblock which prompts a DQ since that is illegal in Mid-South. This was lots of fun until the finish and a borderline nomination.

Ted DiBiase vs. Tim Horner (7/6/83)

Horner comes out with both guns blazing here with some nearfalls sending DiBiase to the floor to gather himself. Horner would try a Thesz Press but got a Hot Shot instead, which started the DiBiase offensive brigade. DiBiase would soon hit a powerslam for the win.

Junkyard Dog vs. Boris Zuhkov (7/6/83)

Dog is really fat here and makes quick work of Zuhkov.

This is the first of the Bill Watts burial of WWF series as he shows clips of Kamala killing Iron Mike Sharpe. Sharpe left for WWF a few months earlier and was getting a pretty big push there so with Vince starting to make moves, Watts starts showing how more dominant Mid-South is.

Joe Stark & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Arn Anderson & Ralph Williams (7/6/83)

Spotlight match for Doc.

King Kong Bundy vs. Art Crews (7/6/83)

Squash.

Hacksaw Duggan & Magnum TA vs. Rip Rogers & Boris Zuhkov (7/6/83)

Rogers went up and slammed Duggan twice, which was a bad move as Duggan destroyed him and threw him on Zuhkov who was on the floor. That set the pace for this match as the faces dominated this.

Ted DiBiase vs. Johnny Rich (7/6/83)

Rich comes out saying that he injured his hand earlier in the tapings and he has a replacement ready. The substitute ended up being Hacksaw Duggan. Duggan started pounding DiBiase with everything he had sending DiBiase to the floor after a huge roundhouse right hand. The match goes back in the ring and DiBiase starts taking over but missed a running shoulderblock in the corner and Duggan took back over ramming his head on the turnbuckle. Duggan then missed a shoulderblock of his own and DiBiase would climb up top but got slammed down and Duggan started punching from the mount. Duggan started slamming DiBiase’s head on the mat until Bundy comes out with his arm in wrapped in tape. Bundy pounded on Duggan until JYD & Magnum made the save.

“Hacksaw” Butch Reed vs. George Weingroff (7/6/83)

Weingroff is such a good wrestler and he puts up a great fight but Reed is getting the monster push here. Really good competitive match though.

Tim Horner vs. Doug Vines (7/6/83)

Spotlight match for Horner.

Mr. Wrestling II vs. Tony Zane (7/6/83)

II looked good.
