Posted September 27, 200718 yr comment_5422298 No DQ for the UWF Heavyweight Title: One Man Gang © vs. Ted DiBiase (2/6/87) Gang immediately sends this match to the floor where he starts pounding DiBiase but the tide turned when DiBiase threw him into the ringpost and started punching away. DiBiase took the match back to the ring and kept up his offensive barrage and this turned into a back and forth battle with both men just pounding each other until Gang hit a clothesline on DiBiase sending him to the floor where Akbar ran him into the ringpost. DiBiase is juicing now and Gang starts working on the cut along with hitting him in the back with a steel chair. Gang would keep delivering the punishment to DiBiase and he fought back but at this time Gang was just too big and powerful. Gang missed a 747 splash though as DiBiase rolled out of the way and the fans are going nuts trying to rally him and Gang would miss another running splash into the corner but DiBiase is so weak that he falls to the floor. Gang follows him but DiBiase was playing possum and he started pounding on the Gang and hit him with a steel chair then climbed up top and hit a diving axehandle taking the Gang down. DiBiase fires away the punches and Gang hits the ref by accident after running the ropes but DiBiase continues the offense and uses some brass knux on the Gang. Gang is now juicing as DiBiase continues to wail away with the punches and another referee enters the ring. DiBiase then hits a dropkick which knocks down the other referee and DiBiase gets a schoolboy after another missed splash in the corner but Akbar hits DiBiase with his whip. Gang lays over DiBiase for the 3 count and retains his title. This was a great bloody brawl and a definite nomination.
October 15, 200717 yr comment_5422804 Man there was some ugly stuff here, DiBiase is clearly calling spots at one point, and visably blades on camera. Still this was too bloody and violent and awesome to not put on a disc. I just don't think I am going to vote it particularly high. It is so great that all this Houston stuff is around. Seriously god bless Brandon Bollom.
