Posted September 28, 200718 yr comment_5422312 Steve Cox & Ted DiBiase vs. One Man Gang & Skandor Akbar (3/6/87) DiBiase jumps Gang at the bell and is relentless even biting at his forehead. Gang has to go to the floor to gather himself along with Akbar and would soon get the advantage once getting back in the ring. Gang tagged in Akbar and DiBiase started biting him but Gang knocked him out of the ring and Akbar threw him into the railing. The heels would work on DiBiase’s head trying to get juice and they delivered a great beating along with baiting Cox every chance they got. DiBiase would finally get the hot tag to the green as grass Cox and he got a few shots in on the Gang before Gang would start putting his weight on Cox in the corner. Wild Bill Irwin then showed up and distracted Tommy Gilbert enough for DiBiase to pull out the loaded glove and as Gang tried to slam Cox, DiBiase hit him in the back of the head and Gang fell backwards for a Cox victory. Cox gets a shot at the title for his victory as well. Angel of Death vs. Gary Young (3/6/87) Competitive squash and Young does a bladejob. Young wins the match by DQ due to excessive violence by the Angel. Bill Watts pimps his sons some more. Sam Houston vs. Ken Massey (3/1/87) There are a LOT of empty seats in Tulsa, which this was the time when Watts was starting to get ready to sell because of the oil market falling apart around the Mid-South area. Ted DiBiase & Iceman Parsons vs. Eli the Eliminator & Wild Bill Irwin (3/1/87) DiBiase comes out solo as Iceman has been starting his heel turn but Iceman shows up and after DiBiase tells Akbar he is going to kick Devastation Inc.’s asses, he calls out Iceman for his distrust so Iceman walks out. DiBiase fights Devastation Inc. by himself and holds his own for a while but he would eventually succumb to the odds until Steve Cox shows up. DiBIase would get over and made the tag to Cox and the 4-way brawl was on. Devastation Inc. decides they have had enough and they leave the ring. Iceman then turns heel in an interview with Jim Ross calling Chris Adams a “jailbird.” Iceman says that he helped Adams out when he was in jail and got paid back with Adams picking Taylor to be a tag partner in the UWF Tag Titles tourney that they won. Iceman breaks out the jailbird t-shirt which fucking rules. Iceman then calls Jack an “uncle Tom” and breaks out the oreo cookies in honor of Jack. This was fantastic and a definite extra. Buddy Roberts vs. Bobby Perez (3/1/87) Squash. The Freebirds come out and hold Dark Journey up as she is being interviewed but as Chavo & Link jump after the Birds, DJ grabs the cream that Sunshine had and Missy Hyatt comes out hitting DJ stealing the cream. Steve Cox vs. Ken Johnson (3/1/87) Cox gets a formal match and gets the win. Had Watts not sold out, this guy would’ve gotten a huge push. UWF Tag Titles: “Gentleman” Chris Adams & Terry Taylor © vs. Mike Boyette & “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (3/1/87) Boyette is substituting for Sting due to a torn bicep. Taylor & Gilbert start out against each other and then all of a sudden Iceman Parsons shows up and he tells Gilbert that he wants to be his partner. Iceman then gets kicked out of the area so Gilbert is stuck with Boyette. Gilbert gets roughed up a bit so he tags in Boyette so he can get his ass kicked but he actually starts the heel control section of the match then tags in Gilbert who starts working on Taylor but he would soon get the hot tag to Adams. Boyette also tags in and it’s a 4-way brawl with Adams hitting the Superkick on Boyette to win the match. Gilbert & Sting then jump the champs as TV time runs out. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert vs. Sam Houston (3/6/87) This is JIP. Good stuff here as Eddie made Sam look really good and he looked great himself. The match ends in a 20:00 draw. UWF Tag Titles: “Gentleman” Chris Adams & Terry Taylor © vs. Wild Bill Irwin & The Viking (3/6/87) Viking’s TV debut and in a title match no less. The match was okay nothing special. Chavo Guerrero vs. Ken Massey (3/1/87) Chavo looked great. Erik Watts football pimping video airs. Devastation Inc. (Eli the Eliminator, Wild Bill Irwin, & One Man Gang) vs. The Glassman, Bobby Perez, & Gary Young (3/1/87) Squash.

September 28, 200718 yr comment_5422325 I don't know which match this is in particular but Houston and Gilbert had an extended series of matches in UWF. I know at least one went well beyond the ten minute mark.
