Posted September 29, 200718 yr comment_5422343 No DQ Loser Leaves Town: Hacksaw Duggan vs. Ted DiBiase (8/31/83) DiBiase jumps Duggan at the bell and he dominates Duggan the early part of the match. Duggan started fighting back doing what he does best in punching and it turns into a slugfest. Duggan hits a back elbow on DiBiase and he drops to the floor to gather himself but would get attacked as soon as he got back in the ring. Duggan hit a great clothesline then continued to punch DiBiase until DiBiase caught him with a Sunday punch but Duggan would still regain the advantage hitting a backdrop sending DiBiase to the floor. Duggan would give chase and got caught flush in the face with a diving fistdrop as he rolled in the ring. DiBiase then used dirty tactics plus capitalized on Duggan’s mistakes to keep the advantage and would soon lock in the figure-four. Duggan would get the reversal on DiBiase when the Road Warriors would attack Duggan holding him up for DiBiase to slap him in the face. DiBiase keeps slapping him until Magnum & Rood try to make the save but the Roadies cut them off at the pass. DiBiase loads up the glove but JYD comes in and nails everyone with a 2x4 but the Roadies started taking care of him. DiBiase goes to swing the lumber on JYD but gets hit flush with the spear. Duggan gets the board and starts beating everyone’s ass with it. Duggan hits DiBiase with the board a good 5 times and makes the pin sending DiBiase to Georgia. This was classic stuff and since it was no DQ the insanity that happened before the finish made it better. DVD pick.
October 19, 200717 yr comment_5422929 I wasn't feeling this match. Duggan has not hit his stride yet and there were points where Dibiase wasn't leading and Duggan wasn't following. The ending picked it up but I never got the feeling that they were going all-out or were worried about their job being on the line. These guys would pick it up in a big way in 1985 but this was way below that level.
December 15, 200717 yr comment_5425332 I am going no here, I honestly didn't like this as much as Rich v. Sawyer or JYD v. Bundy. This is way below the other Duggan v. DiBiase stuff. Maybe put the crazy finish as an extra, but I don't think this is a good enough match to make a disc
