Posted September 5, 20223 yr comment_5989618 That mas had his own self-contained universe in AEW, walked out, went back to WWE to a hero's welcome, had banger after banger and the only logical conclusion is him taking the belts from Roman Reigns. Meanwhile CM Punk is being his usual bitch self.
September 5, 20223 yr comment_5989627 I have no beef with CM Punk standing up for himself, although he is being pretty unprofessional in the way he is doing it. The main person to blame for all of this is Tony Khan, because he clearly is not the man in charge in AEW and is letting the inmates run the asylum. But to your main point? All of the sudden Cody is looking REAL smart for getting the hell out of dodge, and it's becoming much easier to figure out why he did. He must be laughing his ass off right about now. As far as WWE goes...I enjoyed the Triple H interview with Ariel Helwani so much, and the Clash at the Castle PPV, that I am going to start very cautiously monitoring WWE programming again, including Raw. But I still don't know how the hell anybody can be expected to watch three fucking hours every Monday, and this is probably going to be very short lived, because MNF is coming back, bubbas!
September 5, 20223 yr comment_5989628 All this makes one wonder how much of the stories about Cody being an egotistical primadonna were true, and how many of them were a function of who had a good relationship with the wrestling press. He clearly wasn’t in a good headspace at the end, given how bizarre the Codyverse got, but now it’s like, can you blame him?
September 5, 20223 yr comment_5989665 In hindsight, Cody leaving AEW should have set off a lot more alarm bells than it did.
September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989669 Say what you want about Rhea corrupting Dom, but at least she got him to slick back his mullet, so that’s a win.
September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989671 Damn, was hoping Braun was joining Alpha Academy. THAT would be something interesting. This Monster of the Week shtick is stale and the shits. His new look is cool though. One guy annihilating almost the entire tag team division is vintage Vince booking. Are we sure he's really gone?
September 6, 20223 yr Author comment_5989672 Dom truly took after his 1st father, Eddie Guerrero. I mean, there are worse things in life than being a buff lady's sub. 48 minutes ago, Zoo Enthusiast said: In hindsight, Cody leaving AEW should have set off a lot more alarm bells than it did. There is this amazing quote before he returned to WWE which I haven't seen until today, but it shows how on the money he was - and how business savvy he is.
September 6, 20223 yr Author comment_5989674 Braun looks really good, though! I mean, it's not like one could go worse than his fucking hunting gear.
September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989675 You know what, good for Braun. He got done dirty, he didn't do anything wrong he only lost his job because Vince got buyer's remorse over signing him to a big contract. Dude is a choad IRL, but he didn't deserve that.
September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989676 I love how Raquel's gimmick is being the buff chick, but I bet Rhea would smoke her in a pose off.

I still do not get what the fuck Raquel is trying to achieve with that back pose. You are not that lean or that jacked to make us go "WOOOOOAH LOOK AT HER BACK", dammit. Get on that tren

No one deserved to lose their job. Doesn't mean I'm going to stand up and cheer at the shit Vince-esque booking we just saw. The ship has sailed with Braun as an interesting and compelling money-making act.
September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989680 BTW missed opportunity when Rhea told Rey that Dom wasn't his anymore to follow up with BECAUSE HE'S MINE NOW.
September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989683 BTW I totally get not liking the booking here, but also it's Braun. The fuck else you gonna do, y'know? Also I think there could still be some legs in Braun. He could be the next one for Roman to slay while we wait for Cody's boob to heal.

That was the problem in his first run, where he should've been a top star. He was always the setup guy for Roman, maybe it'll change this time, but I doubt it.

September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989686 KO's angry promos have that Mick Foley-esque "nice friendly guy gets pissed off and it's kinda scary" vibe and I love it.
September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989687 Praise be to Corey for working in a reference to our lowly Pirates as a regular move call.

September 6, 20223 yr comment_5989690 Miz and Sarah interactions are getting as good as the Kayla/Heyman ones.
