Posted October 10, 200717 yr comment_5422692 Chavo Guerrero vs. Bob Bradley (4/18/87) We are at the Cowtown and it doesn’t look like there are many fans around. Chavo wins this fairly easily. Steve Cox vs. Gary Young (4/18/87) Interesting to see Cox against Young who is getting a small push. Chavo comes to ringside and Young is really bothered by this, so he gets cradled up for the victory. Handicap Match: Big Bubba Rogers vs. The Glassman & Mike Reed (4/18/87) Destruction. Iceman King Parsons vs. Bobby Howell (4/18/87) Iceman now comes out to “Control” by Janet Jackson, which is awesome. This was actually competitive for a while. Angel of Death vs. Buddy Roberts (4/18/87) Buddy took it to Angel going for his leg and wrapped it around the post but Angel didn’t let that affect him. Akbar comes out leaving Buddy vulnerable to get pinned. UWF TV Title: “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert © vs. Savannah Jack (4/18/87) I love the ring announcer Doyle King’s attire, he looks like the groomsman on top of a wedding cake. The title can change hands on a DQ here. Eddie getting the babyface chant here is great as the fans have gotten tired of Jack. Eddie did a good job working on the leg and he was more of a dominant heel here than chickenshit. Eddie would win the match with a reversal of a Jack cross body block from the middle rope. Nothing much to this really. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. The Viking (4/18/87) Squash. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Bob Bradley (4/18/87) Squash with Doc throwing a nice dropkick. Gary Young vs. Craig Whitford (4/18/87) Squash. Iceman King Parsons vs. The Glassman (4/18/87) Squash. UWF TV Title: “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert © vs. Sam Houston (4/18/87) Title can change hands on a DQ. Houston comes out with a blow-up hot dog in honor of Gilbert. Houston kept Gilbert on the ground for most of the match using armdrags followed up with armbars. Gilbert would come back though using a clothesline to get a nearfall but would knock himself down along with Houston after a double collision. Houston started throwing his right hand then followed with the left to take Gilbert down. Houston went for his bulldog but Gilbert reversed into a backdrop suplex but couldn’t capitalize. Houston then went for a Thesz Press and got the Hot Shot instead with Gilbert winning. This was an okay match but these two have had better.
