The Enforcers (Mike George & Doug Gilbert) & Shaska Whatley vs. Bobby Howell, Ken Massey, & Hank Wilburn (5/31/87) Squash and the Enforcers use the old Freebirds powerbomb as their finisher and poor Wilburn landed right on his head. “Gentleman” Chris Adams vs. Mike Boyette (5/31/87) The losing streak continues. Adams & Sting have a meeting after the match with Gilbert & Steiner coming out and Sting helps Adams fight them. Big Bubba Rogers vs. Craig Whitford (5/31/87) Squash. Sting vs. Ron Ellis (5/31/87) Sting is on fire here and debuts the Stinger Splash. Chavo Guerrero vs. Rick Steiner (5/31/87) These two had some fun matches a year ago and Steiner has improved a lot since then. There was some good action early on when the tide turned when Steiner caught Chavo off the top rope and they fell over from the momentum. Steiner tried to get back in the ring but Chavo threw him off and both men couldn’t make it. This wasn’t as good as their matches from last year and a shitty finish. The Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner) vs. Bob Bradley & Gary Young (5/31/87) This was very quick. Ross interviews Gilbert & Taylor who finalize their partnership. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Terry Taylor vs. Steve Cox & Davey Haskins (5/31/87) Gilbert & Taylor work great as a team here. Taylor wins with the figure-four on Haskins and Gilbert KO’s Carl Fergie before Adams attacks Taylor. It’s on 2-on-1 on Adams before Sting comes out to even the odds but Murdoch shows up to make it 3-on-2 before the Lightning Express runs in and this is a huge brawl as Steiner shows up to jump Sting. The jobbers come out making this like a battle royal before the Freebirds show up as TV time runs out. 7/26/87 is on here too but I also have it on another so I'm going to watch that one later.
